Alternatively, painting it to match the body color really helped out the look on the solid sections, in my opinion.

Took my car to one of our Sponsors, Specialty Car Services years ago bought the challenge grill and they did a great job! And yes its not impossible but does require quite of bit of work. The 348 requires a wider panel, but is not as tall as the 355's. It requires buying a 355 challenge grill and cutting it into pieces, some welding and the possibilty that its going to look like ****, luckily mine did not! So who's up to the task?

the Husker is through making Grills. Last time I tried to post something on here about making up a few, the F-chat grand pooba got in a snit and smacked me around a bit here on the forum.
So I decided it wasn't worth fooling with. i was barely covering my cost on them - it was mostly for fun. but it quit being fun that day and so i said ok I'm done.

the mold went to the dumpster because it was taking up space in my garage and the rest is history as they say. those of you that have the lemans grills enjoy 'em cause there won't be any more.

whoever wants to duplicate the effort it can be done, but i sunk almost $30K and tons of hours into the deal, and i expect you will too. i would expect the pooba could fashion something better together cause he's the mastermind anyway.

merry christmas and happy new year my friends. hope you read this before pooba deletes it. ;)

    Rules are rules.....

Rather than toss your R&D, you should have offered it to a vendor or someone like Carpenter for some $$$$$

    Then you could subscribe!!!

OK here's the deal. The grill was on ebay from someone, who never installed it, still in the wood crate. It included the wiring harnesses for the tail lights that worked with the 348 from Steve in Las Vegas.

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=232985

I was surprised I was the only one who bid on it. Got it and the harnesses for $500 plus shipping. Husker sold the grill alone for $1200 by itself. It was my lucky day as I was looking for one :) I got the tail lights from Ricambi for $684. Daniel gave me an excellent price and usual great customer service, but prices have gone up from what some people paid for them a few years back.

I guess I'm one of the last people install a new one of these on their 348. I really like how it turned out and since today is my birthday!! Happy Birthday to me:):):)

WOW, I think that looks fantastic! That is the best looking round light conversion I have seen on a 348 yet! I am intrigued - "cutting it into pieces" means trimming it or more?

FYI, I am not discrediting anyone else's round light conversion kits, but this just looks great!
