I've been downloading Nurburgring videos lately and it occured to me that I've never seen videos taken at Le Mans. Am I just blind or do they just not exist? And if they dont exist, why??

There's a vid inboard a Porsche 956 going around LeMans on the web ... it's rather fast.

Netflix has a video recap of the last 4 or 5 Le Mans on DVD.

956 Group C car (1983) before the chicanes were in place.

[edit] I just watched it again. It takes a good long while to load. But it's worth waiting for. Something to remember, once on the Mulsane straight he's going over 200mph. Then think about how long he's on the straight. And also notice he takes the kink FLAT OUT. Derek Bell certainly is The Man.

Ok, I misinterpreted your question. It's currently with two chicanes:

Take the chicanes out and you get an idea of how long it is. The Kink on the map doesn't look like much but, flat out I'm told it'll put your heart in your mouth.

Before the chicanes it was about three miles long. I believe that includes the Kink.

Be sure to check this out. Lots of good books and videos as well.
