I have the clutch out and while I 'm in there I am replacing the bearings too. An ongoing problem is leaking oil from all points. I pulled off the trans pan to put in a new gasket and Strat-O-Seal washers and out dropped the springs and balls that are up in the mid casting. I have been searching for a cross section or a tutorial on replacing those gaskets but haven't found it yet. The parts images on Ricambi don't show the the balls and springs. So I hope I have not lost any parts. I could use some coaching on leakage and what sequence the balls and springs go back in.

Stick them back in the tranny bottom with a slab of grease.

    They'll stay put.

YEAH! looks like I have all the parts and the slab of grease is a great idea. Thanks mwr and st@! I have read some posts about how the leaks have gotten worse after reassembly. I am reassembling with trepidation. I still have a bucket of nuts and bolts and I am waiting on the shop to pressing in the bearings for the bell housing and the transfer case. It would have been great to have them over the weekend but looks like I'll be going to work this week with greasy hands. (good thing I'm not a dentist).
