Just purchased my first Ferrari a 575M F1 and I need to learn how to drive it. The guy I bought it off told me and was clear from his driving that he has, quote "never got the hang of the F1 paddles! His first to second selection was to say the least rough. He said that he'd always meant to find time to get someone to teach him how to drive it but never did.

Strange thing about the Ferrari club and that is you can't join until you have a car - well I fixed that problem so is the club the best place to look for some instruction? A half day at a track or instruction school would be the way to go.

I know that practise makes perfect but a short learning curve would be the better option

    Any suggestions

The Club's next track day is at SIlverstone in a few weeks and may be a good place to learn about the car as there's lots of space - all you need is a helmet and extinguisher - the instructors are primarily there to teach circuit driving but I'm sure will have tips about your F1 - the novice groups are fairly slow and friendly - if you're lucky your insurance may cover you too

Track days are good, but my advice is take a driving course. Congrats on the car.
