Depends. I think the ranking or prestige of your school means mroe for grad schools such as law school, business school, or medical school. Undergrad, eh... It'll help with internships and networking, but your GPA will do most of the talking.
Well, that's interesting. 4 hour posting gap, now Ip traces to North Jersey. Hmmm.... plot thickens... DM
Well, I never went to MIT, Harvard, or for that matter high school, (to busy chasing the dead all over), and I sometimes wonder when reading some of the posts on here, how much these great schools helped their students understand life.
In my opinion, pay cash for these cars. Don't see the point of leasing them. If you want one save up to buy one.
Jumping in on the "education" portion of this thread... I might be biased, heck, I know I am.... Product of Chicago Public Schools for High School and first 2 years of College. Small, never heard of college for 2 years more, ARMY also in there and a solid independent contract practice.. Nearly half mil a year practice (closer to 450 after expenses).... So I can only guess that an IVY league education can get you a good job But the bottom line is work hard and oh yeah, work hard... Yes, I know, There are those who blow my income away with even less education but I'm not THAT smart, just hard working...... Tony......... (actually enjoying a day off after 14 in a row).....
no...Paul is mistaken. you cant even get a 335i at 1200/month for 36months. ....unless you had a $70,000 downpayment. M6 vert is 105k... Rari, a decent estimate is $100/month for every $5,000 financed (for 60 months) ex: 500/month = $25k..2000/month = $100k
i'm not mistaken..ads all over the place, in particular "habberstad (sp) bmw" 1099 with 3k down..extrapolates to 1200 a mo 36 mos.. ps- i am quoting lease prices..not finance.. pss- the header is "leasing f430" not finance..sheesh
I find it rather difficult to believe that a Harvard grad like you cannot see that this is an incredibly stupid idea when even an undergrad like myself studying in a far less prestigious university could immediately figure this out. You're single, have no obligations and you claim to be making $145,000 per year. Assuming this is after tax, I don't understand why you haven't gone out and bought yourself a car before this. Furthermore, note that any car is a depreciating asset that is basically a luxury in your case since you can take the subway to work. Why don't you use the money that you'll save if you don't buy a car, not to mention an F430, and put it to work in order to make yourself more money? Even just putting it in a fixed deposit account will benefit you more than blowing it on an exotic you don't seem to be able to afford. For starters, if you don't own a house, you might want to consider working towards buying one now. I'm no expert on this, but it seems like they're quite cheap right now. Then again, you're the Harvard grad and I'm just an undergrad in his first year, plus taking financial advice from a car forum is just crazy. Instead, I'll offer you some advice about cars and driving. My friend studying in NYC tells me that the traffic there is insane and that parking is either hard to find, unsafe, and expensive or ridiculously expensive and hard to find anyway. Take your pick. You want to get used to driving in NYC in an exotic?! Seems like you want to learn how to run marathons before you can even walk. You also don't seem to have done much research before thinking of buying your first car, you may want to work on that. I'd have thought someone intelligent enough to graduate from Harvard would have more common sense than this, I should have sent an application there It's clear that something isn't adding up here.
Ok...You're an Idiot. But Harvard rocks. Sorry, couldn't resist. But who says that anyway...its not like he insulted your Mamma. Harvard is a school, not a religion.
Ohh... I dont know... How about lying to us and getting busted? Or how about being a "harvard man" who can not do basic math? Re-read the last few pages... and find out!
It's possible that a young person (under 30) who has continuously succeeded in life to believe their their salaries will continue onward and upward indefinitely. This is my experience with a 430. Purchased in about 18mo ago for $210K; now worth about 130-140. Can you take a 70K+ hit? I think that's your entire annual take home pay.
He wasn't owned by anyone...how do you know he lied? the ip read DC/ then jersey? using wifi you could show up anywhere. And if he is a fraud why would it matter? either way you took the time and energy to respond to a fraud. buy used Rari... you don't need a new anything, think of it like this...210k = the same car as 130k car. so you save the price of a M3 as a daily driver
Seriously, there are a lot of very rude comments on here totally unjustified. Ferrarichat is a mature forum and the type of personal slander seen in this post has no place on this forum! -SE
1) learn to spell 2) learn grammar 3) learn to do math 4) learn computers 5) shouldn't it be "USMC Rebel," there pog? 6) take this with you: Image Unavailable, Please Login
Haven't Harvard grads bankrupted more companies and destroyed more economies than any other university since record keeping began?
Maybe, but they also tend to be and become seriously rich. So they do know their math! And the real destroyers of the world are..... lawyers!! (Who cares where they went, they all suck!)
