Pironi did nothing at Zolder. He got under Gilles' skin in Imola. Well, big deal.

Mass did a major nono for race car drivers. When slow, stay in your lane for the faster car to pass you. He changed lanes in the last possible moment.

But Gilles was on a banzai/harakiri/kamikaze lap which was neither necessary nor doable since he was out of fresh qualy tires.

Please watch some pre 2008 races of his, and 2012 and 2013.

Actually. Watch the 2001 season. 23 car races in significantly slower cars (not even F3 speeds) and by his 4th or so race started regularly beating his much more experienced teammate.

I think it was on his second day and Schumacher was observing him and quickly pipped him as a future world champion. That almost happened in 2003 if it wasn't for an unfortunate engine failure from a HUGE lead (30 sec+ I think)...despite his car being not as quick as the Ferrari's or the Williams. Great consistency.

Took the fight to Alonso in 2005 and lost out due to an unreliable car.

Kimi needs a very specific front end. Give him that and he'll win again.
