I have recently noticed that the leather on the bolsters of the driver seat is very dirty. The dirt seems to be from the dye in the dark trousers I sometimes wear.

The seats are Creme with red stitching.

I have tried the Swissvax leather cleaner that has always worked before but this dirt will just not shift. I see Swissvax also do a stronger leather cleaner called: Leather Cleaner Forte.

Has anyone tried the Swissvax Leather Cleaner Forte, and is it any good?

Can anyone suggest an alternative leather cleaner?

I have crema interior in my 458 too as well as my wife in her California. In our Range Rover we had a color nearly white.

We just use very fine woven microbibre cloth (like one for cleaning the windows) and warm water, nothing else! Brings the best result! Don't hesitate to do with light pressure (by hand).

After cleaning we take a creamy leather conditinoner like this: Meguiars Gold Class Rich Leather Cleaner & Conditioner

I have crema and have had great success with AutoGlym

It easily and successfully removed the stains from someone that wore brand new blue jeans that had not been washed and caused bad staining

Another option which was recommended by my detailer and which I use on my crema interior is Zaino Z 9 Leather Soft Spray Cleaner.

There is a product available in the US called Lava. It is a bar soap. It may be available in your area. While it may seem harsh at first glance, I have found it to be an excellent cleaner for stubborn marks and soil on leather. If you find it, use a wet cloth, rubbed across the bar, to create a paste on the cloth. Apply the paste to the leather using the cloth in small circular motions. Remove the soap with a clean wet cloth and wipe dry. You have nothing to loose and everything to gain. I have used this approach on my California and several MB SLs in the past. Checkout Lava Heavy-Duty Hand Cleaner: Better Than Soap For Removing the Toughest Grease and Grime for the product. Don't let the "pumice" scare you away.
