I've used Lexol and Zymol. I like Zymol the best IMHO. It really gives that leather handbag smell..

How did the Leatherique work for you?

Remember to condition your leather every three months!

 

When using Leatherique I was told that you want to leave it on for a while and get the cabin pretty warm so the leather absorbs the oils and sweats the impurities. So unless you have a heated garage, doing this in the winter might not be as effective due to the lack of heat.

Agreed that warmer is better. Another trick is to wrap the leather in plastic and just let it sit for days. The sun visors in my car weren't bad, but they weren't as pliable as the rest of the leather. Removed them from the car, slathered on as much Rejuvenator as possible, and put them inside a kitchen trash bag. Every 2-4 days I'd reapply the Rejuvenator and put them back in the bag. I didn't keep track, but this might have gone one for a couple of weeks, at which time thy visors had become as glove-like as the rest of the leather in the car.

I've heard, and now fully believe, that patience/time is your best friend when rehabilitating leather. But wrapping in plastic does help shortcut the process, as I finally proved to myself by covering my seats in painter's plastic during their Leatherique treatment. From now on I'll cover everything that can be covered in plastic during treatment.

BTW, the Zaino Leather in a Bottle smells fantastic, but doesn't seem to last too long and doesn't smell like what I'm used to Ferrari leather smelling like. I've been using Obenauf's LP on my black leather after rejuvenating and cleaning it with Leatherique. The scent is more subtle, but seems to last much longer than the Zaino and the product provides some serious protection. Obenauf's Oil darkens non-black leather so I'm guessing LP might as well, so be cautious if you decide to test it on light leather. Gotta say though, so far the Obenauf's products seem very impressive. And my leather smells like a Ferrari interior should smell.
