I seem to remember in a thread from some months ago discussing redying the leather in older Ferraris a discussion about a very good and easy spray application to redye the leather. I've searched the archives and can't locate it. I've found the stuff about Leatherique and a couple of others, but unless I imagined it (or was just wishing for it), I seem to recall someone mentioning an easy to apply spray-on dye that worked well.

Does anyone remember this discussion or are you familiar with the product?

    Thanks,
    Steve

Yes it is possible to do a spray on redie. I saw them spraying custom colors at the factory in a booth, so that's what they do. That's all I know about it.

Steve - over the winter I sprayed the interior of my car with Leatherique. It worked well and was fairly easy. See the attached photo.

There was a great article in the last issue of Prancing Horse I think it was by Steve Alhgrin. I think I butchered his last name sorry. Regards, Vern

    Scott,

Absolutely beautiful job. What did you do to prep it before you sprayed it?

    Thanks,
    Steve

Used a lot of lacquer thinner and elbow grease to remove the old dye. Remove everything from the car and try to use the lacquer thinner in a well ventilated area.

I just read the artlcle I think you're referring to -- it was the ShopTalk column in the last FORZA and Steve Ahlgrim didn't write it but was quoted several times in the article.
