Since the original thread got eaten by the database monster, I'll repost. I'm looking at a car that is stunning with the exception of the leather interior. I've seen a restoration online where they clean, sand, fill, and redye the interior. The results were very impressive, and price wasn't too bad (<$400). http://www.bimmerboard.com/forums/posts/1708 <-- Restoration Example Anyone know of a place in the DFW area that offers this service? Todd
check out www.tinlizzieaffair.com. We used them all the time when I was with Ferrari of Dallas. I saw some really good restoration work done there. One in particular was a Ferrari Daytona with the contrasting straps on the sport seats. The restores looked as original as if the car had just been built. Also, you might check with Bob Smith up in Gainesville. You probably know the reputation of his work. Absolutely world class and his many "best in show" awards at prestigious car shows will attest for his work. Google www.bobsmithcoachworks.com. Make sure you google him as if you just click on the link it is just a picture of his home page. Go to the second listing for a lot of photos of his work. I believe these might have been taken on a Ferrarichat road trip tour. Hope you find something there.........

Here's my original response: Johnny Cantu John's Fine Crafted Auto Interiors 972.438.4783 214.498.6410 Work he has done for me: re-dyed leather seat in 740il replaced headliner in 840ci fixed seatback latch in 840ci replaced sport seats leather in 911 replaced convertible top in 911 Quality has been great as well as the prices.
Have you ever seen or used leatherique? It is amazing stuff. www.leatherique.com It is kind of pricey but well worth it. I have a small sample if you would like to test run, H
The problem with Leatherique is the amount of labor you are willing to perform to get it as good as a professional. Especially when there is sanding involved. I have the entire kit with all of it's components. It definitely takes practice. I only paid $125 to have my drivers seat sanded and re-dyed. Well worth my effort and time saved.
