What Leather seat conditioner are you guys using? Thanks!
I was recommended Connolly but it is a pain in the butt to apply. It is very thick (like wax) so you have to apply a lot of elbow grease to get rid of residue marks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I recently purchased a 2003 360 Spider and the interior is in excellent condition. However, the seat leather was a bit dry. I purchased Griot's Garage Leather Rejuvenator. I applied it three times over about a weeks period and I cannot believe the improvement. I am going to apply another couple of applications and expect that this will be the only leather conditioner that I will use going forward. It was less than $15.00 from Amazon prime and you can also buy it from their website.
I have used lexol on some of my cars ..any negative comments it ? Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
I've used Lexol in the past and find the Griot's Garage products easier to apply and buff. If you need to bring your leather "back to life" and make it soft and supple, you may want to try the Leather Rejuvenator, at least once. I've recommended it to all of my friends.
Zaino leather care works well and renews the leather smell. Chemical guys have several leather care products as well. google both
All of those recommendations are fine, but for pedestrian use. For real deal professional leather conditioner you go to Color Plus and get: https://colorplus.com/products/soffener/ Its the real deal.
I am a product junky and love the Zaino stuff but I have been using this for a year or so and it is great stuff! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Griots for seats. Pinnacle Black for dash. The former owner used these and my interior in the 07 is virtually perfect. 10/10. I'm keeping his regiment.
11 posts in and only one person recommended leatherique. Is leatherique no longer considered the best for leather cleaning and conditioning anymore? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Leatherique is good, and I still keep some around, but I also have found the Griot's products to be easier to work with. Griot's Leather Care spray is great for twice monthly wipe downs...it helps remove minor dirt and perspiration, while conditioning and adding a nice leather smell.
By the way, I've seen a few threads here where their dashboard has shrunk especially around the windshield vent areas. I am betting its because the leather dashboard has been neglected and never treated with any type of leather care.... I highly recommend applying leather conditioner on a regular basis (at least once a year) to the entire dashboard area. Apply thin coat, let dry, buff, then repeat the process. Dan
I don't use a conditioner. I clean the seats regularly with leather cleaner then every 6-12 months use CarPro Leather, which is a sealant for seats that stops dye transfer etc, and makes them easier to clean. Cleaning and application: Followup:
Absolutely! There are several good products. It is important to use one of them consistently. I have used Gliptone for years and it's great stuff. I do my seats and dash twice during summer months when the top is down most of the time. Do the whole interior once in the winter when the top is down occasionally. There's an acre of leather in these cars. It needs routine maintenance.
There is nothing that will penetrate and plump up old dry leather like leatherique. Have tried them all.
