Hello, I’m planning to replace all the straps in the trunk (boot) as they have begun to break. I’ll have real leather ones made. The original straps appear riveted on. I’ll drill them out and plan to use screws with nuts on the replacement straps. To do this, I will have to remove the trunk inner trim. I will appreciate advice. The trunk trim is a tub and comes out in one piece? is it held only by the Allen screws? Is it easy to remove after I remove the screws and the top rubber seal? Do I try to remove the trunk light first or will it come out with the tub (I hope the wiring is long enough to allow me to disconnect it)? Any tips, things to watch out for? Much appreciated, Andy
This same thing happened to me…my straps broke. Any advice on the best repair? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
