Looking to add LED Engine Bay lights to the back of my 02 360. I've seen several kits, like SCUDing but I want to run them to a constant hot instead of connecting to the license plate or tail lights.

    So two questions.

    1) What "kits" have people used. I'm leaning towards just white as I think it looks like a jewelry case. However I want longevity and no possibility of melting.

    2) Where is the constant hot in a 360 spider engine bay. I would assume there has to be a wire going to the starter, but I was hoping to somehow get thru the firewall and connect to either the fuse box or run off of the cigarette lighter.

I did the typical search and could not find the definite answers.

    Thanks in advance.

This sounds cool, but I don't drive mine at night. I'm weird like that.

Hey man, I have Scuding for my engine bay lighting on my 430, its a good quality kit. Any reason why you want to run it hot all the time? I only had mine installed a few weeks back and haven't driven it for extended periods...I am kinda curious about the possibility of melting :( 430 gets really hot and the kit sits right above the manifolds..I am sure Scuding took that into consideration and made their kits durable. Only time will tell!!

If you are looking for longevity, my suggestion would be to NOT run it hot all the time. Why would you need it running during daytime :)

I been using Custom Dynamics a lot for all my motorcycles, they have great quality and customer service. May be you can find something you can customize for your need. Good Luck and post some pics once done :)

I want it hot so I can turn it on and off without having the parking lights or any other lights on. This is mostly for night time car shows or when parked, so I don't want to run any other lights, just the rear LEDs on/off.

Makes sense....I am sure other 360 guru's can chime in on the constant hot connection in the engine bay. If not, you already have an alternate plan - tapping in from the fuse/cigarette lighter.

There are two threads about LED lights in the engine bay with pics. Do a quick search. A buddy of mine had them installed and they look pretty darn cool.
Besides the company above, Scud-ing Swiss I believe offers a solution too.
