I have a problem with my 355 and wanted to know if anyone else has had the same problem. When starting up, the LED light comes on for a few seconds, flashes off, then stays on for the duration of the drive. I know it comes on if the door, hood or engine cover is open, but I have checked those and they are securely shut. Am I missing something else? Any advice would be appreciated!!

The LED light that is part of the theft system located between the vents in the center of the dash. The owner's manual indicates that it should go off unless it senses that a door or hood is open, and mine is staying on even though the doors and hoods are securely closed. I didn't know if this is a typical issue with the 355 that could be easily remedied or if I should plan on a dealer visit. Thank you.

    Hi David,

I had a similar problem with mine and it turned out that the alarm module's battery was no longer functioning at required level. Replaced the alarm module and problem went away. I recall some past posts that suggested one could replace only the battery if they were a bit handy, but I don't recall what the replacement battery size or spec was. Hope this helps.

+1. David, do a search for "355 alarm battery" and you will find a few threads with tutorial for replacing the battery in the alarm module.

Mine did exactly this when the regular car battery was low. I changed the battery and havent seen it again.
