Ok ok ok, I know this will most likely cause all alarm bells to go off for all the Ferrari purists out there. But I figured since I haven't posted in a while, and everyone enjoys some eye candy (again this is in the eye of the beholder obviously), I'll post my newest upgrade to my 360 Modena.

I think it looks amazing, LEDs for the engine bay, with a separate switch. And maybe this will soothe the purists, no drilling, and completely reversible ;)

I'm on the fence. I've seen this mod before and it's cool, but a little Ricky Racer. I think we see our cars almost everyday and we start to become complacent to their beauty, so we look to change more about them to keep the interest level going. I'm guilty if this as well, I just finished lowering mine and put 19"novitecs on it. Either way, I like the effect, just not sure it's necessary.

    Thanks Singletrack.

And MufflerMan, I do agree with you in regards to complacency etc. Just being around super cars, one can get a skewed view, and we wanting to make them look even more special. Agree with you 100% that it's not necessary, but then again, neither is a Ferrari in the first place ;)

Anyhow, would love to see some pics on the Novitecs!

I really like this mod, but I am worried about ruining the wiring by splicing anything and about mounting LEDs in a way that won't mess up any of the panels. Can you share some details on how you made it completely reversible?

    SCKOMS Yours looks amazing!!

Re JPK: I wouldn't splice into any car wires. I wired the LEDs directly to the battery, with brand new cables, and a fuse. Most LED strips these days have 3M tape on the back, so you won't need to drill to place them anywhere. After market switch under the panel, out of view. Cables run through the same hole the facotry wires run from the engine compartment to the cockpit. So if you ever wanted to take the lights off, just pull the wires and switch, and remove the strips, and presto!

As stated, wired directly with an in-line fuse (in my case to the panel behind the driver's seat). The remote receiver was placed behind the side panel using cable ties). The LED strip has the 3M adhesive, so it can be peeled off and the residue removed if and when you wanted to reverse the process. The remote I got has different modes (flashing, heart beat, etc.)
