    Hey, guys!
So... my left-side low beam intermittently does not turn on, so I'm assuming the ignitor, or whatever it's called in the ballast (control module, etc for non-US peeps :) ) is not working well. Not surprising seeing how the car has 40k miles.
My idea is to swap to LED so I never have to worry about another failing and expensive ballast.
I'm reading the US 360 has a D2S connection but I can't seem to find LED kits that work with that type of connection.
Is D2S only the connection from ballast to the BULB and I need to find out what type of connection goes from the car's harness to the ballast, since the ballast will not be used?

Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks, in advance!

If you suspect your ballast has failed, then unplug and remove the HID system. Jumper into the controlled 12v output (from the headlight switch) and use an LED system similar to the one I'm showing you. All this type needs is that 12v supply and ground

DO NOT purchase the ones that have connections that look like a normal D2S connector

Hope this helps. Good luck. BTW, store the entire system you removed carefully for the next owner.

Would those also lower the heat?

Should. I converted to LEDs for > 5 years now. No issues.
However, don't know too nuts with the wattage. Stay at approx. 60 watts per LED. Some are at 100 watts. I would stay away from those

I haven't been able to find any like that, but now I can search for that wording. Thank you

Edit: I found those exact bulbs. Everything I'm finding is 110w, though. Nothing less. To the point that bulbs have copper cooling tubes and tiny fans
If anyone finds these with a 60 watt bulb, please let me know lol

My basis for staying at 60w was not scientific but from the old days of people installing 80w halogen bulbs and distorting their fog lenses which were plastic.
Our headlight covers are plastic, hence my caution.
However, since LEDs produce far less heat than those high output halogen bulbs, maybe my fear is unfounded.
