We just bought a LG55LX6500 and the picutre is amazing, but I know it could be better since this is just how it came out of the box. What are some sites that I could learn how to set the right settings? I have looked but there are tons of places but which one should I trust? Thanks in advance.

You can try to do it yourself with one of the calibration discs, but I would advise you get an ISF certified tech to do the calibration. You really need tools to do the calibration correctly. Your display also has settings and service menus you can't access without codes or a service remote.

I have a Sony VPL 100 projector, and the ISF calibration was well worth the $300 I paid.

Ask around the high end home theater places and you can get a referral to a good tech. Avoid the Geek Squad.

Oh I am DONE!!!!!! with Best Buy, I have had the worst service from them so no geek squad for me. I have been looking around the avs forums and was thinking the same thing about having someone do it for me. I will look around to see who I can find. Thanks for the info. One thing I was worried about, was it worth the money. You said yes so I will look around. Thanks again.

Why would you ever get a TV from Worst Buy? Use Amazon or Newegg...they will deliver it to your door and make sure it works for you before they leave. Amazon will even keep the box stored for you in case someone wrong happens to it and they need to take it back. Not to mention the prices are lower.

I would have waited for OLED...organic LED. Better colors. Of course that's because the Kuro plasma tvs are no longer offered, which I prefer.

I was going to suggest AVSForum, but you obviously found it. It's pretty much the only website that i know of that offers what they do. I'm on it everyday.

I searched and searched before I bought my plasma and no other forum is like them. Although they have no off-topic forum which is a shame and if you ever veer off topic in the slightest you get a warning. They're nazi's over there.

Yea, but how long until OLED's come out in decent sizes, 30"+" Not to mention at affordable prices?
