    i am getting ready to put away my 348, and would like to start some projects. Has anyone done the led conversion. One post said I should use colored (red) leds for stoplights, why, I have red lenses. Also does anyone have a count of which bulbs and quanity to order..

    You use the same color LED as your lens because LED light is pure, and red passes through red lens, amber passes through amber lens, etc...while other colors are filtered out (leaving not much light being emitted if you don't match colors).

    The link above will get you set up with the right parts. LEDs are vastly superior for the 348's high center-mounted 3rd brake light...they light up a tenth of a second sooner than the old bulbs (which take a slight delay to heat up before they emit light).
