Left fan is not coming on, and engine overheats. Right fan comes on but not enough.

    1. 40 amp fuse is OK
    2. Relay swapped with an identical relay does not solve problem
    3. Test fan with motorcycle battery, fan runs when given 10V
    4. Plug fan back, pull the connector for the radiator fan switch, and short out the two pins. Heard the relay go click click, but no fan running.

That points to (maybe) wiring from the fuse/relay box to the fan. Does anybody know how this wire is run where along the car?

348 or 355? Check voltage at the fan connector with relay on would be my first step. Could be a burnt fuse box not supplying enough voltage, bad relay not making connection when it clicks or bad wiring. Check voltage at fan connector and report back.

    Scratch that.
The 355 fan now works with the thermoswitch connector shorted out. Which points to the fan switch being the problem. I did verify 12V at the fan connector with the switch bypassed.

So it is the temperature switch after all.

Yeah that thermal switch on the L/H radiator has a short life. Good thing they are not expensive :)
