    Hi everyone,

If by chance there is a thread already existing regarding the same issue, please let me know :)

I have a rather strange problem, at least for me:

I have a 2000 550. And everything has been perfectly smooth with this car. Today I drove it to get washed. When they washed it, in order to move the car from position to position, and as a result of turning the car on, then off, the fuel pump disengaged as it's supposed to.

The worker asked me how to start it, I saw the red light flashing, I pressed the key fob and it engaged. I did notice, however, that this particular time, instead of beeping just twice, it beeped three times.

The proceeded to dry the car, etc., and when I got in it to turn it on and drive away, I noticed that my left side signal light was on, as was the fuel pump light which if Im not mistaken, is to indicate the fuel pump is not engaged.

But the car started, and I drove away.

I just assumed it was the actual signal light lever that was moved while they detailed, but no it was in its proper position.

And now that I have it home, sure enough, not only does the signal light not stop signaling, not even when the car is turned off, but the lights stay on in the very first position. Even the light bulb light in the dash stays on.

I've tried turning off the battery using the knob inside the engine bay, but once I switch it on, the signal light starts back up and the fuel pump light stays on.

Not sure what could have caused this or even where to begin to figure this out.

    Any ideas?

I will try to attache some photos for reference.

    Thanks everyone!

    Anthony

If the turn signal lever is down, even with the engine shut down, the turn signal lamps front and rear will remain illuminated as a safety measure if you have to park her on the side of the road. Or are you saying it is flashing even when turned off?

The gas pump symbol with the diagonal line shows that the fuel pump inertial switch is set to off. Your owners manual shows you how to reset the switch.

Never take your Ferrari to a car wash where she has to be driven by somebody else.

The 550 leaks at the passenger A piller and onto the passenger ecu and sometimes wickes further. Then all kinds of weird electronic things happen. A dead give away that this happened or is happening is corrosion on the ecu pins and sometimes actual water in the ecu connector. These ghost faults must be distinguished from real faults. But new electronic problems after a detailing washing is quite suspicious. This happens to a much less degree on the driver ecu.
