The left window on my 355 stopped working. The right window operates correctly. I removed the door panel and checked for power at the connectors located near/behind the speaker.
I assume the window motor circuit is a reverse polarity circuit, to change motor direction.
I supplied power to one wire and ground to the other and the window went up OK. I reversed polarity and the motor would not move. Before I order a new motor, is there anything else I should check?
On a side note, I can hear a clicking from under the center area of the dash (relay?). I can hear it when I operate either window. I have not found it, I can only hear it. Can someone tell me where this relay is located?
    Thanks
    Gary

Keep up your investigation of how the power is supplied to the motor. A motor that works is one direction is good, There should be no reason that it wouldn't work in the other direction.

Does the mechanism seem to be binding at all? Can you operate the window with your emergency crank? I would keep looking at how the motor is wired and powered, because it is probably ok and the issue is a switch/relay/connection/ground problem.

Just found the problem. Bad connection at the motor. Looks like blade connector on the motor did not engage with the female terminal on the harness side. it was just wedged between the plug and the terminal. Looks like it was like this from day one, just happened to act up now. I straightened the connectors and made sure all is tight and good to go!
