This saturday May 5, Half Moon Bay, CA, Ritz Carlton Hotel.

Just like Pebble Beach, but with bikes. First class event with world class bikes (one of mine included). Free congac and hand rolled cigars with admission. A lovely day on the green.

    That's beautiful.

My father is in the process of restoring a 1967 Triumph T120TT Special. Restorer says it should be done in May, but both my father and me think it might take a little longer.

Here's a pic of a '67 Triumph T120TT Special. My father's serial number is for an aubregine and white. You don't see that many, most are the aubregine and gold.

i went to look at a very similar bike, a five hundred, in ninteen seventy four, which had a stuck motor from sitting and have regretted passing at the three hundred dollar price ever since.

i remember thinking it looked stodgy at the time but now it looks pretty cool.

a fellow in my highschool in about sixty six had a three hundred single beemer... i remember him trying like crazy to do a wheel stand with it like the guys could so easily with their hondas. that beemer would about spin the tire before lifting the front end.... and he had to rev it like crazy and dump the clutch to do that.... i still cringe to remember him abusing it for such a silly stunt.......kids.

I'll try and shoot some video... dunno if it will be a full fledged podcast. I'm going to be a Nervous Nelly with one of my bikes on the green.

Here is some video from last year though:

I really live those old BMWs in white.

I guess its really rare, what , maybe one in 50 vs the black ones? Really looks special.

    Love the Earles forks also.

    not so much :D

Think Pebble Beach, substitute bikes for cars, add Alain de Cadenet as MC, and throw in free congac and hand rolled cigars... and you get the picture.

Not saying that there WONT be some 47 year old dentists wife with bad tattoos willing to flash you some sagging saddlebags from the back of an Evo Softail as they ride by on their way to the Steppenwolf concert... but the chances of seeing that are much better at Bike Week or Sturgis :D.
