I got an email from the Lego Store today saying they were available now for VIP folk (I may buy a few Star Wars UCS sets here and there )
Ordered one for €85 (less than $100) directly on French Lego webstore, already send, I 'll tell you when I'll have received it

There was a sign inside of my local Lego Store saying "Limit 1 Per Household." I bought one, but I'm thinking about going back to get another. (One to put together with my kids, one to hold and sell later.) I'm also tempted by the Ferrari Racing Truck, but I only have so much shelf space in my office. The Lego Store also had a really cool McClaren F1 Racing/Pit Set, but I'm not sure if it comes with extra Honda engines and a little Alonzo figure to push the car back to pit lane.
Recieved the racing truck for my 51st birthday from the inlaws. Its very very cool. I had no where to put it though. So i carefully dismantled it and took it to the charity shop. Hopefully another "kid" will enjoy building it for a second time
I feel like the racing truck is a bad idea - doesn't it include the F 14 T? If so, then I believe that that is a car we'd rather forget about..... I bought the Lego F40 to build together with my 5 year old daughter. She loves Ferrari and likes to build Legos. We've finished the "Part 1" collection of bags, and we've started the "Part 2" series of bags. We're currently part of the way through the engine build. I'm contemplating getting a glass case with a wooden base made up for this, as it's the first time we've worked together on a Lego set, and obviously because it's a Ferrari. I'd also like to get a plaque made with our names, the car type, and the date. I think she'd really like that, and it would probably be something she'll remember for her entire life. Thoughts? It's a nice set - extra pieces are helpful, but haven't needed them yet. I'd guess that we're about 6 hours into it so far.
