All guides were replaced, there were leakdown issues on 3 cylinders. 2 on the left, one on the right. When disassembled, the play in the guides was considered to be close to limit or beyond. Leakdown dropped to less than 5% across the board after.

Yeah, all 32 guides were replaced. The drive home baked my cerebral cortex even worse than its baseline. Thanks for clarifying, Brian (who did his usual stellar job).

Nice! I've always admired the look of the LeMans grill. It's how the 348 should have been designed.

Is that your 308 in the background too? Gosh I miss mine. I had a 82 2V which could be laid to waste by a Honda Civic but man what a cruiser that beast was. I like the "boxer" paint scheme too. Is that original?

I agree, they look a bit too in the hood for my taste, looks like your running 19's a bit too tall for a 348 IMHO and are those the Chinese wheels from a famous place in Florida? If so be careful brother! But Love that Le Mans Grill, nice job in the install, Husker did a great job manufacturing these grill's.

Yes, Husker, the 308 is mine. 1982. AFAIK the boxer paint is original. The aftermarket wheels were on the 348 when I got it, but I would never consider going back to the dreadful originals. I'll post some more pics but no one has ever called them ghetto before. De gustibus non disputandum.

The pictures do not do it justice. The car drew many admiring looks in the shop, even surrounded by 355s, Gallardos and such.

The wheels are fine, I prefer 18", but it's not my car, I just got to drive it after the fixes.

Many "upgrades" with carbon interior, push button starter, exhaust, the rear grille etc. give it a more modern look IMO.

Milby1 your car looks stunning. I love the look of the LeMans grill in black with the black lower sills.
Very sinister looking setup. Job well done!
