SG running 3/4 in Hypercar- of course there are only 5 cars  But they are running 3rd overall so a possible podium would be badass!

Still cool- That guy is one of my hero's

I did unfortunately- Makes sense now- Funny

Man I wish Lawrence Stroll would invest in Chick-Fil-A so Lance could be pickle boy instead of wasting an F1 seat-

I went a few years ago and cannot wait to get back, next year God willing. I stayed in the camp ground with the Porsche Club of Great Britain on the Porsche Curves. They have a bus that will take you to Arnage around midnight and brings you back to Porsche curves at 2:00am or so. Here's a little secret, if you have a Porsche you can take your registration and get entry plus guest into the Porsche building on the Raccordament Chicane and you can watch the start or finish, enjoy sausages and free beer.

Great live music near the Dunlop Bridge, Grand Marnier crêpes at 3am. It's an absolute must once in a lifetime.

why have the 488's been so far off pace in GTE AM? BoP or just teams/driver lineups?

    Great info here!!
Sounds like some insider information to keep in mind.
I don't have a Porsche so I can't benefit from it but my family is from Germany.... wonder if that would work:D:rolleyes::D
Or maybe a good angle to convince the wife why we need to add another car to the stable....

    Best wishes,
    GG

I don't think the team ran at Le Mans this year, although I did see Cetilar sponsorship on the AF Corse 488s

I wasn't able to watch the race live. I kept up with live standings the 10% of the time it actually worked as Chas described.

I'm happy for Jim getting a 3rd and finished ahead of all LMP's. It was a solid finish, not like getting 3rd of 3rd in some races.

Local connection congrats to Jason Hart for getting his first Le Mans start! He's a stud of a driver, but has never had many pro drive opportunities, 99% of his time is instructing the gentleman racers. First hand I know how talented Jason is.

Le Mans 2022 wasn't a memorable race. It was boring to watch, to be honest.
Thanks to good management, Toyota dominated the only 5 cars in the top category, so victory was very predictable for them. Private Glickenhaus enjoyed a podium finish in what is a David v. Goliath fight.

In the LMP2 category, they behaved like unruly school kids. Too much disparity between driving skills and experience, IMO.

In LMGTE Pro, Corvette was the big loser. One car was sidelined with suspension problems after an off, the other one was brutally eliminated at high speed by an LMP2 driver. Corvette was leading the GTE Pro category at one point. Porsche won the category, but many think that Ferrari was screwed by a last-minute BoP change that made it impossible to compete at the front.

The single Aston Martin won the LMGTE Am, against 11 Ferraris at the start !

Roll on 2023, with the mix LMH/LMhP with Cadillac, Porsche, Ferrari, Toyota, Glickenhaus, Alpine, plus Lamborghini and Audi one year later?
