The yellow torpedo looking thing used a motorcycle frame and engine for the back half. The second 'thing' is a 1956 Messerschmitt. Thanks for the pics Spasso. It was nice meeting up with all of you this morning and look forward to future FCA events. The collection is mind boggling. Philip
Fantastic turnout. Great to see everyone again! DJ, great pictures. I wish I could remember the names of the more obscure cars.
Dana, Wonderful time today! Great pictures, especially the Boxr and that 275 Spider ain't bad either... and those CSs', F512M, Dave H's. new toy ... etc... But where's that Sherman Tank? Gary
Was there a Sherman Tank?! Really??? I missed it!!!! Dang!!!! I want to congratulate Ken on his new 275 GTS. It looked really cool on the freeway. Take note of the car to car shot of Willis with Ken's 275 in the passeger side view mirror of my car. Hard to shoot and drive at the same time.
I am looking for a new camera, with at least 3 megapixels and a stronger flash. My little 1.2 can't hack these bigger indoor shots. The flash is weak and the pictures come out black so I have to boost the light with my photo program. I would like to get something with an optional full manual mode so I can focus and adjust the light myself as well as macro zoom if possible. Interchangable lense for wide shots too. Of course I want it all for less than 1k! Ha ha ! If anyone is upgrading I would be interested in their used one. Otherwise I will wait for prices to drop after X-mas. Suggestions are welcome. Thanks, Dana
Yup, Ken's 275 rocked! Great sounds coming from that exhaust... Don't worry DJ, it wasn't a REAL Sherman tank you missed...it was a 1/3 scale replica of some sort....if it was real, they wouldn't have been able to keep me from climbing all over it. If you want to see a real one, they have one in downtown Vancouver, BC. And LOT's of tanks over at the military museum at Fort Lewis! Maybe that would make a good drive sometime. We could hit the Fort Lewis museum and the McCord Airforce museum. Might make for an interesting afternoon of fun. Dave
Thanks for the pics Dana, I forgot my camera at home. What a great bunch of cars, LeMay's and the ones outside too!! Good to see people again and meet some more new ones. Thanks for setting this up Will!! We'll have to get at least a few cars together for their annual show next year. They let owners park "show" cars on the lawn outside the buildings we were touring. There are also a bunch more cars and a whole lot more "stuff" at the LeMay house a few miles away. It is something to think about everything he collected over his lifetime!!
