    I took a leap of faith with an eBay seller who has brand new lenses for the clocks on our 3x8 vehicles. A 47mm lens. I replaced my old faded original with a new lens and it looks amazing. I contacted the seller to see If he could make lenses for the other gauges - he said yes.

    I am assuming the rest of the gauges are also 47mm and can be made without the hole for the adjustment stem on the clock.

    I’m not affiliated with this person and would be happy to post their information so folks can ask and order what they wanted.

    Is there a market for these?

    I believe the only lens that is plastic is the one for the clock. The rest should be glass. At least for the Quattrovalvole’s . :)

    Yes you are correct the clock one is easy to make from a 1/6 (1.5mm) PC sheet all the other ones are glass and just need a good cleaning, I did mine in 1hr jus follow the template from the existing clock lens

    I've wondered if the haziness is intrinsic uv damage or can it possibly be polished off the outer surface the way people refurbish headlight lenses? Of course by the time you take it all apart I guess you may as well fork out a Benjamin and get a glass lens (permanent solution) but the last time I made an order from Unobtanium he didn't have any. I also thought about just taking the original lens to a glass shop and have them make one.

    The lens I purchased was $13 - if it lasts more than 10 years (given the stock one was still in good shape after 35 years and useable- just cosmetics and consistency) - it’s worth the squeeze - no?
