Just saying boys, the BoSox are out of it, the Yanks are looking pretty good again, and so are the Mets! A repeat of the 2000 subway series? Yankee fans make some noise!
It's far from over. There's still 24 games left for Boston, and 4 are against the Yankees. A lot can happen.
Yankees are starting to come around at the right time! This could be an amazing Post-Season. Yankee fans got to root for the WhiteSox and or Minnisota so The RedSox do NOT get the Wild card!! Anybody but the Redsox!!!!
The BoSox are done. The 4 games the Yanks have with them will just increase the Yanks' lead of the AL East by 4 more games.
Just you and me in here Armen. I think since that series when we swept Boston at home, that was the pivotal moment. They have been winning bigtime (like tonight's 8th inning rally!) and the Sox just keep sinking. They [Sox] traded away Wells and some others because they knew they were done. Let's just see if there is anything really standing in our way.
Yankees baby. I loved the sweep of the red sux a few weeks ago. They seem to have it together even without all thier guys. The kids have stepped up. the Mets look good this year too but i think they're a couple of arms short still. "In a perfect world we'd all be Yankees"
Every day Boston is slipping farther & farther back. I thought i'd root for the White Sox so much. Comm'on beat Boston!!!
Yeah it's like xmas in September! Three things I can always count on for my bday: 1) Awesome fashion week in NY where post-show parties become my bday celebrations; 2) Yanks putting a nail in the coffin of the BoSox; 3) Does there really need to be a 3?
need i remind people that the cardinals opened the old busch stadium, within two years we won the series. how about doing it in the first year? LET'S GO CARDINALS! (p.s. my 308th post, )
Sh**, you're pretty serious too. I love it. I HATE boston more than any other team in sports Period!!!!!!!
You have no idea how deep my pinstripes go buddy! I sat through the Mattingly years, used to have Paul Oneil toss *stuff* at us in the stands, he gave us the finger pretty much every home game until we could afford the box seats. My cousin's father-in-law is the official team athletic supplier, or was. He took me to my first game in 1983 just around my 10th birthday. The rest of my family are Met fans so my cousin and I were outcasts. The GREATEST moment in sports was that romp we gave them in the playoffs 19 to something, does not matter the score, what matters was watching them all cry like b!tches in the dug out. PRICELESS!
Same here!! I hate the Red Sox, and enjoyed watching the Yankees beat them in the recent 'Boston Massacre' (5 games at Fenway, and they lost every one!!)!! And who can forget Aaron Boone back in '03!!! Go YANKEES!!!!! Image Unavailable, Please Login
need i remind you yankees fans who won the cardinals-yankees world series' in 1926, 1942 and 1964? must be nice when your owner buys you a series win, huh? yankees fans?
what a crybaby! lol If you could afford good players you'd buy them too, but note that for about the last 20 years, Steinmeiser has purchased players, often at the bottom of their career and taken them to great heights. Clemens was DONE, so was Boggs and many others. NY happens to be a club that makes players better regardless of the price. FYI, YOU don't remember those series either, most of us were not even born yet lol. If it were simply just 'buying' championships by having only the best players, you guys can just close up shop, you have no hope, period. We know this is not the case.
