    I'm not a golfer, but you have to have good feelings for Phil Mickelson winning the 2013 British Open Championship in Scotland, by shooting what he felt was his best personal round ever, a 66! It was his 20th attempt.
    Like seeing us geezers win once in a while. Never give up!

    I was so happy for Phil! One of the best rounds ever played in tough conditions. He was slapping hands and knuckle bumping with kids the whole way. Gives back to the crowd , while Tigger ignores them.

    He is one great guy. I followed him around Bethpage for a round at the Open and he was chatting it up with everybody. Very accessible and easy to like. Even threw me a water bottle. I found Tiger to be just the opposite.

    Phil is 100% class act - great to see him win and especially in such tough conditions. Probably doesn't completely erase Winged Foot but helps. I am hoping he wins US Open at Pinehurst next year and Payne is smiling from above :)
