There is a lot of discussion on ferrari chat about all the stuff 'serious' so I would like to start a thread which deals with your strange and funny stories, Ferrari related of course, so, i will start with my funny story which happend last summer, I took my 328 GTS to a local classic car show and lined it up in a line of classic cars, the car to my right was an Iseta bubble car and the owner/driver was a 6'6" guy who must have weighed 300lb, his name was colin he was a nice guy and loved his bubble car, in fact he had three of them. how he drove this car I will never know, anyway in the next row this guy pulls up in a ford GT40 kit car, he walks over and says to the big guy "what a cute little car did you make it yourself" the big guy says "yes I made it out of ford GT40 kit car parts and if you insult my car again I will almost certainly have enough parts to make another one!!!

    nuff said.

I personally don't have one, but a few years ago (10/98?) in Road & Track I believe, someone wrote an article on how they had smashed the nose off of their MGB with a sledgehammer. They then used bondo/fiberglass to create a Testa Rossa nose, spray can painted it, and popped a horsie badge on it. They took it down to a local concours event as a joke, but were waved into the Ferrari paddock. The article said that spectators were commenting on how you could tell that it was a competition car, due to how rough it looked. I laughed my a$$ off reading that over and over again.

I was in the parking lot of a local shopping center just after I purchased my Silver '82 Mondial. A 30 something female came out of one of the stores, did a double take at my car and then asked if my car was the "back to the future car?"

If that wasn't bad enough, two weeks later in the parking lot of an auto parts store, a 40 something male asked me the same question!

I'm starting to get a complex.

Back in late 2004, I went to the Ferrari French Quarter Classic in New Orleans... It's a top notch event and one of the privileges of going is being on a balcony on Bourbon street during the black tie dinner of the event. The event provides tens of thousands of beads for hours and hours of entertainment...

Well, there we all are, dressed to the nines, tossing beads off the balcony down to the bouncy, fleshy public. Standing next to me is an older woman, who seems rather reserved. She looks like she doesn't want to be a party pooper, so she's just barely smiling, tossing beads off the balcony. She was very quiet and, considering her outfit, looked like she could pass for a queen or something. Then, from out of nowhere, she erupts in front of me.

She apparently saw something she liked and she got a strand of beads ready to launch. Screaming - and I mean screaming - down into the crowd, she yelled, "SHOW ME YOUR TITS...!!!"

    It was hilarious.

When they found Carbone in the meat truck, he was frozen so stiff it took them three days to thaw him out for the autopsy.

My funny experience was when I was riding shotgun with Paul Loussia in his black Challenge Stradale. I'm honestly not sure he would even remember this because I did't mention it at the time...but here goes...

We're driving down this relatively narrow two-lane road in a 35 zone, and we pull up to this light, and to the left of us waiting to turn right to go the opposite way we are is this silver Lexus SC430. The guy driving it thinks his ride is just too cool for school. He's got his arm out the window draped along the side, and he's got this smug look on his face. As soon as he sees Paul's car he got this look on his face like we just smashed his dream day to pieces. It was glorious. His arm slid back in the car and he turned right before the light turns green (Most lights in Michigan are no turn on red it seems). The look on his face was truly priceless.

Not to split hairs but 99% of all traffic lights in Michigan allow a right turn on red. Nice story though, I love it when you can shut down some poseur. :)
