Tom, Is that the suede dash car from Indianapolis?
    Looks great!
You need some leaves on the trees, I bet it is some long winters up there.

    Very cool!

So . . . no adapters or spacers are required, then?

They look great! Do you notice a significant improvement in handling?

These 16” Gotti (model J55C) wheels are period appropriate vintage aftermarket wheels which I suspect are long out of production. They were commonly available and sold as TRX replacements back in the day. I bought them used from a fellow F-Chatter last year, and spent the winter doing some leisurely R & R work on them.

I really like their appearance on the 308 series of cars, as it’s a break away from the more common QV style that one commonly sees. And, as noted, I can now simply swap wheels and tires back and forth between the Gottis and the QV’s with little effort, should I prefer one style to another for any reason.

While I do believe that they are now out of production, you may still be able to chase after a set of them if you contact Gotti at their website in France: http://www.gbsalpine.com/wheel/gotti/eng.html

The Gotti 16” wheel diameter of course matches the 16” diameter of the common aftermarket QV replica wheels that I had fitted. The QV wheels are 7” wide front / 8” rear, while the Gottis are 7-1/2” front / 8” rear. Other than the minor ½” difference in the front wheel widths, there are no differences in fitment or offset between the Gottis and the QV’s.

The tires on the QV wheels are 16” Michelin Pilot Sports, 205/55 front and 225/50 rear. The Gotti wheels have 16” Bridgestone Potenza RE 750’s in 225/50 front and 245/50 rear sizes. The one step larger tires as fitted on the Gotti wheels seem to visually fit the car a bit better, in my opinion, but I can’t honestly say that I note any performance or driving differences between them (nor did I expect to find any differences).

    Cheers - DM
