Hi snj5, Thanks. I'm so excited I need a few beers to "chill" (me)! Now, about pictures - - I have the iMac, have the digital camera, but have never done this. If I take pics, like I did this last weekend at my son's wedding - - boy, was that fun!!, thank you - thank you - - anyway, I download to iPhoto and then either enjoy or I can email those pics. I've never "posted" a pic. "How do it know?" Cheers, Hank
I just have to be part of this thread... http://ferrarichat.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=41234&stc=1 What is up with that guy bashing Mondials anyhow? I dont think the specs on my 300 HP 3.4 V8 with a dry sump, and distributorless ignition is easily called "outdated." Step up & explain yourself student.
Hi Michael, He's a student - like we're all students until the day we plotz (die). If I screw up, I want someone to pull me up and straighten me out. Hopefully, he appreciates and embraces that concept. If not, WTF! I'm celebrating!!! I just bought - - Woops, sorry, I've already announced that. Your Prugna coupe is beautiful!! Hank
He doesn't, given the apartment rate he was looking for in a recent college posting (200-250/mo)...the only 360 he owns is the last donut he did in the dorm parking lot in his Supra. Hey Z, to each his own...if the Mondial is not you cup of tea, trade the 360 on what you really want and leave the rest of us alone. BTW, I like Supras...so nothing personal. - JMG
This guy claims he is a student w/ a 360? Judging by his posts, I would say he needs to stay a student for quite a bit longer. For instance, the word "You" is not spelled "u". I dont even think that the above quote is a complete sentence..... To anyone else who does not think that the Mondial properly represents the Ferrari marque, see Al Pacino drive a T cabriolet in "Scent of a Woman". To me, that scene represents what the Ferrari experience is all about..
Here ya go Hank....trying to get pic right. New reskinned front seats at a cost of $3500..ouch. will try to post some with the new 360 rims when I find the right bolts to put them on. I had other pic, but the file is too large to post. You can check them out at: www.islandtym.com Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi Mickey, Congrats on your beautiful 85 Mondial Cab. What can I say about those new seats of yours - except - YEOW!!!! I want to touch em!!! You'll be riding COMFORT! Best, Hank

Thank you, i have a few red ones but i must say your's is one of the nicest i now have in my Mondial folder.
Hank congrats on the new purchase! Although I have never owned a Mondial, I had the privelage of driving one for three days. It was an '89 t with a similar 3.4 L v8 to my 348 Spider. In some cases, I kind of wish I went with a Mondial over my spider. My wife and daughter were able to drive around together which is something that just doesn't happen now. Mostly it's just my 11 month old (yes in a car seat, and yes, with the top up too) daughter and I. Congrats again! Enjoy!
Hi guys Here's my Mondial t. I've had it about 6 months, and its done 26,000kms (about 16,000 miles). Pictures were taken just after I bought it, and it currently in garage having a bit of work done. Should be ready soon!!! Zeeshan - get a life. I doubt you actually own a ferrari. I love the 360 but I could never buy one. Because I have a F-A-M-I-L-Y!!! In my Mondial my wife and kid comes too. Besides whilst my car has been in garage i've been driving around in a 2001 BMW M5 and a 2002 Porsche 996 (not mine but courteousy cars). They might be faster but no one thinks that overall they are better than my Ferrari. The Mondial is every bit a Ferrari (unreliability included - thats a joke. I assume you have a sense of humour). Adnaan
AR Nice car. I noticed your car has the black trim at the bottom painted red, along with the door mirrors. I'm having this done too. I think it looks much better in red than black. I'll post some after pics when I get my car back in about 2 weeks hopefully. In the meantime here are some pics of someone elses car which is also colour coded.
Hi AR!, Since I hope to have my SN 93123 Valeo delivered in a couple of weeks, would you be able to give me some pointers, tips or suggestions that would be Valeo specific? Logic and common sense accepted, there is information that only experience will reveal. If you can prevent me from experiencing some "bad trips", please share with me. Looking forward to lots of chatting! Cheers, Hank
Hi Adnaan, The beauty of your t coupe coupled with that incredible architecture - ah, what a sight. Cheers, Hank
Thanks! The buildings in the background is Harrow School (Where I live). Very famous english private boarding school. Previous Harrovians include Sir Winston Churchill, Neru, as well as many foreign royals etc. Hank, have you got your car yet?
Hm, well, so far I have driven only 5.000 km with the car - no probs. The list of pros and cons regarding the Valeo clutch I have gathered so far: con: - unreliable (I yet have to make experiences before I confirm that point) - only a small number produced = expect problems with spare parts - heel and toe shifting almost impossible b/c of the offset between the pedals (I am not used to this technique anyway ...) pro: - very well tweaked, whether it´s slow maneuvering or starting the car up-hill: all operations that could be critical with a semi-automatic work well - longer clutch life - slightly faster shifting - from all t´s I have driven mine is the one with the smoothest gear shifting; strange, b/c Ferrari just added the electronic clutch to it´s normal transition, so shifting should be the same ...? - the foot well is very narrow in the Mondials, so having the broader break pedal adds to safety Getting aquainted with the Valeo system took me maybe 5 minutes and after 15 minutes I had a comfortable feeling. A couple of weeks until delivery? I think that qualifies as extreme torture, hope you are released from your agony soon Regards Thorsten
Hi Thorsten, Thanks much for the speedy (and positive) response. It's going to be so much fun "learning to use her". As for the two week wait - my PollyAnna approach to life dictates that I see each day leading up to delivery as "another day closer". No agony here. I think its just wonderful anticipation. Ah hell!!! - - I CAN'T WAIT!!! Thanks and cheers, Hank
Well I have to say I've been converted! I used to not care much for the Mondials because all I saw were the convertibles, and not in the best light. But seeing some coupes here has made me a changed man. What beautiful pictures of that red one above! Just lovely. But I suppose most are convertibles, aren't they? Best! Wes
Hey Rod, Let's see, if that picture of your beautiful Mondial 8 was taken at the factory after assembly, then the red car in the backbround is a clay model designated #355, scheduled for release sometime in the mid to late 90's!! Cheers, Hank
