Saw this stunning beauty on the road this morning. I always thought it looked good in the photos but the real deal on the road was stunning. One of the most beautiful cars on the road. Surprisingly the car looks HUGE on the road. Real road presence. (SP) Huge winner. JMO
i totally agree w/ you jb. the gt is far and away more attractive than anything ferrari has to offer currently. score a big one for maserati...could they be headed back for the good old days of their gt's?
Mostly because there are not that many people who want a manual on this car. The target market is the MB, BMW, etc. crowd who don't drive sticks. Too bad, me thinks.
Austin, Texas I took these pics last weekend. This yellow one is the same one that I posted about earlier--the pics of it on the grass. Looks really great in this color. I still dislike yellow cars, but this one just looks great in person. I saw it a mile away in the parade--looking sleek and low to the ground, and as it approached it looked just as great. http://photos-g.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v282/66/95/18800375/n18800375_33245158_9425.jpg I want to see a few of these cars in the various blues that Maserati offers. I forgot my favorite color of blue on their configurator... Laguna Blue?
The yellow looks good and I personally like the white too. My wife is going to trade in her CLK55 AMG for a yellow or white one.
In two weeks' time I'm picking up a Rosso Mondiale Granturismo S. I saw it in red at an UK dealership and I realized it's absolutely stunning in this color. As soon as I pick it up I am planning to drive it to the top of the Stelvio Pass in the Italian Alps, (almost 10,000 ft., spectacular views), I'll post a few pictures here.
Please provide us a comparison report between the regular GranTurismo and the "S" version. I assume like us here in the USA you had to buy it without being able to drive it first. I think we already know about the exhaust sound is a huge leap and the gearbox too, but what interest me more than anything is the handling. How different is it compared to the regular model. As far as your choice of red, I have to admit, I like it more in the "S" than the regular version. I think its the slightly more agressive styling and the rims that make it more attractive in the "S" model.
These were taken in Perth, Western Australia. For more Granturismo and other exotics go to www.flickr.com/photos/coconutphotography. Any feedback/comments would be appreciated. Cheers Josh Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
very nice and small-ish factory just on the outskirts of the historic center. I saw mostly GT-S being hand assembled and several AF 8Cs in some jaw dropping candy apple red color. So the S production is definitely in full swing.... 22 days from 0 to ship. BTW, you can easily tell the S from the GT, if you look at the tailpipes... the GT has two times double pipes, and the GT-S has two times a wide flat tailpipe. Otherwise it's so hard to tell the diff that the tour guide, a retired WW sales exec, could not tell the difference! He had to swing around the stern to tell me which one it was.
Something a little different which I thought may be of interest to some. A car finished in Argento Luna with avorio/black interior and grigio mercury finish on the wheels. Found it on a dealer's website stock list in the UK. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I really like that one. I'm wondering what the color Blu Sebring looks like, I haven't seen it outside the configurator.
folks, at the factory last week, I saw a Grigio Nuvolari GT-S just back from water proof testing... and it was, imo of course, the most beautiful of all the Mas colors I've seen for the Qports and GTs. It's a special order now, but it would be so worth it.
Here's some pics I took from La Bella Macchina in the Poconos three weeks ago. Also we had a GT in this week which we developed an exhaust system for---+19HP. White/Red http://www.flickr.com/photos/martin_miura/3003383398/ I much prefer the silver housing for the head lights . Wierd to notice some cars have them black whereas others have them Silver
