    2004 390 Hp Supercharged XJR-S

    Man this thing will scoot! I bought it for her a few months ago so as to soften the blow of my recent 360 Spider acquistion! hehe

    She is out driving the Jag right now.........and it's raining. :(

    Thats a great color. I've heard of that 390hp motor in a XJR but what exactly is the S version of the XJR?

    The standard XJR does not have the 390 hp engine. The S stands for supercharged giving it the 390 horses.

    The "S" is for the sport package version like for the suspension set up etc. XJR is Supercharged and has 390HP. The "R" is the indication it is Supercharged.

    Thanks Wardhog, I didn't know that. I didn't know the standard XJR had the supercharged engine. I always thought the S stood for Supercharged. Guess I ought to pull out the owners manual and read up on it. Thanks for the clarification!

    Hey Free, are you 100% POSITIVE that you have an S version of the XJR. I think you might be mistaken. I have an XJR on order and I got the most optioned XJR with everything available. Spent alot of money. My dealer was aware that I want the sportiest most powerful version available and I can't find anything about an S version of this car. Are you sure it's an XJR-S or maybe it's a very nice XJR. I just don't think they make an S version of the XJR. They haven't since 1993 and they were all V12's.

    Ok, the wifey made it back in one piece, thank God!

    I pulled the owners manual and you are right. It is an XJR no S.

    I don't know why I thought it had an -S on the end. I must have misunderstood the dealer.

    We had all the available options other than phone installation.

    Sorry for the confusion poleposition.

    Not either of my ferrari's but my wife's Jag in the rain. :(

    Free, thanks for the clarification. I love that color on the Jag, what's it called? Those wheels are different than the first pic. I got the wheels in the first pic.
