Is it actually restored if the paint color was changed?

What would you call it if not 'restored'?

Suppose that everything were done reasonably faithful to the original (without taking it to ridiculous lengths), except a different factory color was used.

I tend to save the word "refurbished" for a less thorough job (e.g. maybe paint and interior, but not whole car).

And "customized" can't be used very well to describe a car that looks original to most eyes..

... by the way, shouldn't this thread be in the "pictures" section, with all of the other "let's see some _____" threads? ;)

The metals and fabrics may have been 'restored' to original condition, but the paint was changed. Sort of like if the Mona Lisa was restored and ended up with a purple tonality on her face.

I would call the job that was performed, "fixed" or "fully fixed".
