A fellow FCA member alerted me to this thread and suggested I flood it with pics from our car. It is Azzuro California with Grigio Oscuro interior. Can elaborate later if anyone has questions. Don’t knock it until you have an opportunity to try it. It’s an amazing machine. I didn’t get to drive one before putting money down as a deposit. Dealer didn’t get a “mule” at that point in ‘22 so it was a leap in faith. Am really glad I did. It truly is a fantabulous ride. You might be convinced.
Let me preface this by saying, you should ignore me! I have friends with Puros on order. I'm glad they're excited, and I'm glad you're enjoying yours. As for me, clearly I'm in a small minority: I just dislike SUVs. If you're going to use one to go off-road or to tow or you need a third row, I guess I can understand. But otherwise, why would one choose an SUV over a sedan or a wagon? Why would anyone want to sit three feet off the ground with a foot of ground clearance? A parable: Years ago, I went to Eleven Madison Park with a group of friends. Before the meal, they asked if there were any dietary restrictions. There were none. Near the end of the meal, they presented some mignardise. The waiter proudly noted that the chocolate covered pretzels were (inexplicably) gluten-free. They were probably very good gluten-free chocolate covered pretzels. But they were lousy chocolate covered pretzels. So why would the chef do this? It really changed my opinion of the meal and of the restaurant.* To me, the Puro is Ferrari's gluten-free pretzel. I'm sure it's an incredible SUV. I can even believe it's a fantastic vehicle in an absolute sense. But I'd never get past the idea that could have been that much better with the gluten. In Ferrari's defense, the customers asked for it. I wish they'd resisted, but it's more defensible than gluten-free pretzels at the end of an expensive and gluten-rich meal. As for customer preferences, it's a mystery to me that the FF and Lusso were flops, yet people are lining up for the Puro. But in the same way that I'm surprised that people would choose a G-Wagon over an S-Class or a Bentayga over a Flying Spur. _____ * Incidentally, Eleven Madison Park later went entirely vegan. Do with that what you will.

Blue, not green. Molvedo is the name of a famous race horse from Italy, born 1958. Blu Turchese Molvedo 2.443.632 was a special Pininfarina color applied in the late 1960s and early 1970s. In those years Pininfarina and Ferrari used certain color names based on thoroughbred race horses. Today the factory recycles some of these legendary old names. Marcel Massini
DM me if you want the full list (which I have posted on fchat at least once already). Ribot was a race horse born 1952 in Great Britain. Blu Ribot 2.443.631 the color. Marcel Massini
