Hahaha ... well I tried to buy it, trust me. The guy who owned the plate wouldn't sell it. It wasn't 250K but it wasn't cheap. I got M 59900 because my name starts with an M so it kinda makes sense.

21" hamann wheel package for 599. 12.5" in rear, meaty. Next up, clear bra for rear fender to protect 1/2" overhang. Huge diff. handling.

I used to hate the 612 in red. This one does look good. I will say I have never seen one in the metal in red.

    Andrew,

I don't suppose you've always wanted a blue nart 612 and just happen to be stuck with your second choice there, are ya? Because blue was my second choice, and you have my first choice if you feel like trading. I...LOVE....YOUR....CAR.

Bob, I'm not as crazy about the bright red in that Cars.com listing. In a way I think the 612 is a little too big of a car for that bright red color.

Now on the other hand, Andrew's wine color red is just gorgeous!

No doubt rubino or fiorano on a 612 is better than corsa, but bright red is growing on me. Like I said, I must be losing it. I always thought the 612 looked awful in bright red as well, but not so much anymore.

Haha, thank you! I love blue on the 612, but I plan on keeping mine forever... you'll be the first to know if I change my mind. She's barely broken in too... 3950 miles as of now, so she'll be like brand new for ya.

Another pic... I desperately need to get a new camera, these are just iphone pics. The second pic shows the color better, IMO. Was taken at LFSC before they shipped the car to me:

Same thing happened to me and the Porsche Cayenne. My wife and I, in 99 or 2000, stood in front of the Penske dealership in Tysons Corner, VA where they were displaying their first delivered Cayenne, a Turbo. We literally laughed until it hurt, at least a full minute long belly laugh. I bought my first in '03, my second in '08 I believe and the third in '10. Miss the hell out of the last one I just traded in for the Maser, thinking about buying it back or getting a later model.

Come to think of it, same story with the 612. NO interest at all for a few years, then it just fit.

I hope you do reach out someday. Forever is a long time though. Beautiful car, sir. Congrats.

I was referring to the brighter reds. The darker reds I've always liked.

Piper, I have to say that I agree with you.

Saw my first Rossa Corsa 612 in the flesh a few months ago. Absolutely stunning. I was a naysayer before seeing that.

Also felt the same about the Porker Cayenne. Thought it was fugly when it first came out, but I think they are good looking cars now. Even the Panamera is growing on me!

Its funny how our taste change over time - as long as its not our wife or kids - my first Ferrari was a 360 spider - it was 2004 and I could not even imagine having something I could not track seriously - still have a scud also but track it only occasionally - different strokes for different times in life - kids, age, other interest etc - as long as I never lose my intense car interest

What enamors one with the Pig, specifically the Cayenne TTS is the extraordinary performance and luxury. It's a hell of a thing, a 5500lb truck propelled by 540hp with a performance suspension. Then you get to know the beast and notice that the FOUR zone climate control and heated seats actually work. Fold the back seat down and the cargo space is cavernous. The air suspension is amazing, difference between fully lowered and full rise is impressive. It's just a shockingly great vehicle. I miss the hell out of mine. Was on cars.com staring at it again this evening. The dealership that has it knows a deal can be made to send it home, would include helping me get some expensive maintenance done at cost, but I'm here waiting to deal. I think they're holding out to see what they can get going into SUV season without having to do any work. We'll see. But I'll be in a forth, hopefully soon.

Sorry for derailing. Back to 612's. Damn, they look great in Rubino and Fiorano!!!
