I'm surprised this isn't in this thread already, a man who has his 512 BBi in a place of honor in his home [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dt7uQr0YiUs[/ame]
Firstly, if this is the prototype that Newman is restoring, it is Rosso Dino. Secondly, it looks to me that the black and white photo that is lifted has light interior, the Rosso Corsa in Bernardo's second color post looks black. I suspect they are different cars. But that is just my guess! Love this thread of an all time beauty.
These photos bring back memories of the first time I saw a Boxer outside of a magazine. It was the school year of 1986/1987, and I was a starving student in Toronto renting a room in a house on Lowther Avenue - a very up and coming street just off one of the most fashionable neighborhoods at the time. The run down old houses us students were renting were one by one being bought and replaced with uber stylish mini mansions. I walked out my front door one day to head off to class and directly across the street from me was the most beautiful sight I had ever seen. A Rosso Corsa Boxer, freshly washed ( still wet ) glinting in the sun in the driveway. I have no idea how long I stood there slack jawed staring, but I finally woke up and headed off to class. To this day I remember that moment like it was yesterday. I never did go across the street and knock on the owner's door. I should have. I would love to know if the owner back then is a member here, and where the car ended up.
