Mindblowing, Fan. I'd never actually stopped to figure options costs Ferrari lays on the new cars. Sticker on the 812 the dealer offered you was $337K, options approx $85K or 25% of the sticker price. total of $422K and dealer wanted $495K or 45% over the sticker price. For how long will Ferrari find buyers of 10,000 units a year at these numbers? And what will this say about the pre-owned market?
Well the one he offered me is still for sale 2 months later, so buyers aren't lining up to buy just any color and this is Miami it should have found a buyer by now. The problem is I wanted a Rossa Corsa one spec'd like my 575 interior wise and he called me and said he had a "red" one coming but wasn't sure of the color, he said it was coming straight off the boat to the dealer so I went to go meet it, wasted 2 hours and it wasn't even rossa corsa. It was a bad spec, why the yellow stitching with that exterior? Ferrari is making alot of cars these days, not sure those premiums are going to fly with more than a handful of guys. I love the 812 but at the same time, curated is right down the street from them and I could buy a CLK DTM for less and have a car that NOBODY really has for a little bit less. Im sure ill get an 812 soon but I have yet to see one for sale anywhere not sure why it is, my dealer cant find me a rossa corsa one, and being in miami ive already seen maybe 5 in the last 3 months so there's some out there. Im in my 30s and most of my friends with exotics laugh at me for still loving ferrari and putting up with their bs, I guess its bc I always loved them as a kid and my dad had a 355 back in the 90s. Whatever it is most guys my age have moved onto lamborghini or mclaren and worse, most owners of ferraris I know dont service the car with the dealer and have indy shops. Long term I dont know how this combination is going to bode well for ferrari. I have to say I've driven the mclaren 570 one of my friends had and for $170-180k I dont really know why anyone would want a 488 for alot more. Still love my 575, favorite car growing up but Ferrari as a brand is incredibly greedy yes you are correct.
I recently had Ravi Gill shoot my 575m in rural Virginia. Wonderful results - and, the mansion is not mine :-( Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Patrick, That is simply stunning. Azzurro is the only other color I wanted for my 456 Yours is a unicorn combo.
