You are a good father. Risk is he will have an old Maserati with two turbos as his first "learn to own and drive" car... Much better than a lot of other stuff teenagers can suddenly start to do.
Hmmm not sure Erik, he will likely have some alternative energy vehicle and use the Maz for a garden art project.
Sure! It could be red! Seriously, very nice picture and classy color combo. Man, how clean and simple were those lines compared to modern machinery...
Mirek, your car just seems to be getting better looking. I know you've done a lot of work with it getting it really sorted, but it seems to somehow show that on the outside.
That’s awesome man thank you. I believe the car to be basically 100% sorted at this point and man is it an awesome feeling. I just had Fast Cars basically replace all the rear interior insulation whilst adding new speakers in the rear. Craig is the absolute best BTW. They discovered some nasty water damage I was unaware of. Basically some damaged/moldy/smelly stuff underneath the carpets. It seems every time I washed my car (a lot) I was flooding the interior. Good times. anybody want to buy a used power washer ?!
Damn on the power washer!! Where was it getting in?? I generally wipe mine down with a cloth diaper. I just have to remember to remove the grandchild first. Otherwise I get really bad skid marks!!
Power washing can take paint off, so good idea not to use one. Especially with Ferrari window/door seals. Can wet your engine, too.
Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Hi, after a long winter taking babies out of hibernation. There’s still so much sand, gravel and salt on the roads and streets that I don’t want to take out the 456GT, yet, but on Monday I drove ca 40 miles with the ol’ girl, two of my favorite cars! ;D Cheers!
My experience is that it is the soap and correct way to apply it that wash the paint, and not the pressure. I always spray foam on dry paint. If the paint is extremely hot, I use hot water and soap mix from the self wash stations.
An extremely good friend, and great Ferrari owner (I think he has 8) lives near the top of that mountain in the background, in a small village. I love visiting him. And Kessel is a phenomenal Ferrari dealership. Lots of reasons to visit Lugano! BTW - lovely 550, I have visited in my dark blue 550 as well.
Thanks. Yes it is a good part of Europe! I don't know it very well but I intend to go there and explore more of it. Might keep one car in northern Italy.
I don’t use pressure washers. Just commenting on someone who does. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
What with all the COVID lockdowns I had forgotten just how good these Front engine 12 cylinders are to drive. Thoroughly enjoyed taking the 575M out for a run yesterday Image Unavailable, Please Login
Jimi- Nice paint color. Looks too orange to be Rosso Dino. Where did you get the overlay for the tach? Thought it was like my Superamerica panel for a minute, but your instrument needles are white and they are red on the Superamerica panels.
Hey Taz good to hear from you. This was a special order colour insisted upon by the original owner. Ferrari didn’t want to do it as it was a Lamborghini colour. However in the end they agreed. (Long story and interesting history). The yellow rev counter and the carbon fibre dash are also original spec and was later added by Ferrari to all the SA cars. I actually was at the Brisbane dealer getting my 355 serviced when this Maranello was being delivered to the first owner. It came delivered with a full carbon fibre package and yellow callipers to match the tachometer. I lusted after this 575 ever since and missed the first opportunity to purchase it. But I had to wait another couple of years before it came back on the market to finally own it. This is my 3rd 575 M and this one is a keeper.
