don't have any pics of my later work trucks, this was my first, i was a new father then & wasn't going to spent stupid money (like the rig-kids did) and was able to buy this outright ....it served me for over 400,000km! (250,000 miles) had a 4L v6, 4wd with low-range and switch-on-the-fly + all options, and the best part was since i only had myself and luggage/supplies to carry (no heavy hauling) i never got stuck on the rutted spring-break-up or ice roads, got decent mileage & it fit in my garage ....great little truck that was! ...until a speeding cab driver killed it Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I really don't like how country stars incorporate vehicles in their songs. Most times it is really bad compared to the more subtle references of someone like Springsteen. This Tim McGraw song is painful ´ Beach Boys or Bruce is much more my style [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oEylfg0cicU[/ame]
Nice truck Jeremy. Rangers are tough, miss mine. Probably end up with another to ride the woods with.
thanks Troy ...they are good trucks really, after that 1998 ranger i had two company trucks, a 2000 f150 and a 2003 f250, and neither of those had the same reliability (i hated the f150 transmission hunting!) rear spring issues on both, front control arms on both to replace ball jonts, etc, etc ...to be honest the ranger was perhaps a bit to small inside, but i almost never had a passenger, and the 4.0L v6 needed more power ...it would have been perfect with a 5.0L
Small? Ha, mine were standard cabs. But they got me where I needed to go. And never left me stranded. And I beat the crap out of them. Broke quite a few things, but in no way was that the fault of the truck....lol
mine was an extended cab, but that was just enough for luggage ....perhaps it's better to say that the interior was a bit smallish for me!

Well, sold my '01. Never planned on it but couldn't pass the deal. Bought the truck 61/2 years ago. About 5400 to get it on the road, had an engine fire. Had three parts fail and put 110k on it. Sold it for 5k. Not too shabby. Picked up my dads '04 since he just got a '13. 130k, he's had it since new. 6k for it, so I traded up for a grand. It's 2wd when my other was 4wd, and I honestly like my old truck better, but it was time. Now to make some changes... Regret selling it, but it was time to move on. 94 Ford Ranger 95 Cobra 5.0(heads, cam, intake, exhaust, dyno tuned) Long travel front and back Daily driven
David, nice truck! Love the old ones. Really thinking about buying one for a project. I bet it's fun. Markus, love the ranger. I bet it was a blast. Who made the kit, or was it custom. I really wished I lived near the desert sometimes. Mud is fun, but gets old, and washing sucks.
Long travel front and back are both Camburg setups. Front was probably about 17" of travel, back 16." The bedcage was been modified quite a bit by my fab guy to accept a second spare tire for a bit more weight over the rear end. The more I think about it, the more I'd consider buying it back if it ever came up. Finish the truck and enjoy it more.
I often consider the same with mine... But time to move on. Looking at the base camburg kit for my truck. Always looked like good stuff.
