The flicker of the red Slow Down light has to catch up with all of us, and I guess you're not a true Ferrari owner unless you've experienced it... and after all the discussions here, maybe we should start a "Red Light District"?

Last Friday, after 20 minutes of slow to moderate driving, the Slow Down Light started flickering on my '86 328 GTS. I was about 3 miles from my house, so I gently drove her home. Never got a solid light - just intermittent flickers. Oil and water temps absolutely normal, no perceivable loss of power, and as usual, super smooth idle. Back in the garage, no red-hot cat, everything smells and feels normal.

Took her out again Saturday in 90 degree heat - no light on a short ride. Later that afternoon in about 70 degrees, I saw the faintest hint of a flicker and drove back home right away.

I will avoid the usual questions beaten to death on other threads (bad ECU, sensors, connectors,...) BUT: what if, for a change, the electronics are actually doing what they are supposed to, namely, warn me about driving too fat, or a cylinder not firing? Judging by the way it idles, I would consider the first option more likely. How do you fix a less than perfect gasoline mixture? (Not that I am going to attempt to fix it myself, btw).

P.S. Apologies if you've seen this in the Technical Q&A section - I am reposting it here...
