355 all the way.
355! It's got an "edge" that the 360 doesn't seem to have. 360 looks great in Balck and Titanium though.
I am certainly in the vast minority, but the 355 design does absolutely nothing for me. Every time I've seen one from a distance in traffic & thought it must be something special, I have been totally underwhelmed as it became closer. Just doesn't seem to have a soul. The 308, 328, and even the 348 exhibit a sense of passion at 300 yards or 3 feet that the 355 just doesn't have. The 360 is a whole different animal, but still has that certain something that won't let me turn away.
I agree w/ the others that the 360 makes the 355 look dated. With that in regard I'll pick the 355 each & every time when looks are the issue. Make mine a blk/tan Berlinetta w/ a tubi.
Come on people, let's get the 360 vote higher. Here is another photo to convince you more One 355 spider versus how many 360?????
360 maybe better engineered and faster but the 355 is much better looking, especially the rearend! Ferrari would sell more cars if they went retro instead of trying to make their cars look like everything else. Even though my wife's suv would beat a 308 in a race I stop and appreciate them when I see one but a 360 only gets a short glance.
They are both amazing. I have recently decided that I wanted to buy a 360 or a 355 and have been going back and forth. The 355's looks and sound are a big plus. But the 360's looks are as good and the more I see it, it gets better and better. To the point that the 360 is slightly ahead IMHO. Reasons: 355's front is a little old, 360's interior is far nicer and more expensive looking, the 360's looks overall is nosing ahead (in my books). So the decision has been made - 360 it is. Coupe.
355, no doubt. Classy, timeless. Maybe the least convincing part is the side view of the rear, but the rest is superb to me. The 360 has a nice rear/side profile, but the front view and those humongous air intakes ruin it all for me, I dislike the headlights clusters too, in the same way that makes prefer the 550 over the 575. Can't help thinking of a squashed frog when I see the front of a Modena.
My vote is with the 355 Berlinetta then GTS then Spider. Just love the lines with a roof. I have not warmed up to the 360 yet.
I voted for the 355 and used to own one. I now have a 360 and it is growing on me by the day. I got the tubi and now it looks a lot better.
I think they are both beautiful in their own special way. The 355 has the classic Ferrari appearance while the 360 is a more futuristic Ferrari (even with that McLaren F1 nose).
Yup sir . I did not claim that the 355 is THE embodiment of timelessness, just that it qualifies. Never been such a great fan of the 250GTO, but i am off topic here ... My opinion is that Porsche, Ferrari, Lambo (even now Honda with the NSX concept) all made ugly ducks out of their designs by poorly integrating the front air ducts, I just can't get used to these black holes, whether squarish or trapezoidal. Some say that function should dictate design, but in the case of all these cars (I'll throw in the Enzo too while I am at it), I think that esthetic purity suffered a bit too much from aerodynamic constraints.
The 360 looks like a pregnant frog. The 355 is almost the ultimate expression of 70's/80's Ferrari style (512TR has that honor), and is by far the better looking of the two. Best looking road Ferrari ever? I'd say it's a dead heat between the 512TR for it's eye-popping WOW factor, and the 275GTB for it's sheer beauty. Production models only, there are so many gorgeous specials it's hard to figure...though the 250 Drogo comes to mind. Mark
Actually you have just made the best expression that describes the look of the 360- a pregnant frog!! and actually when you really look at it.........it is!
