Self-discipline? I thought Micheal was the the only driver to get disqualified from a championship, for undisciplined driving. You must be talking about Ralph
Yes, he was the only one disqualified for "undisciplined" driving, but not the only one driving undisciplined... big difference that you tend to forget Gesendet von meinem SM-G930F mit Tapatalk
Since when is being a good PR bot necessarily a sign of intelligence? Senna had many wonderful, passionate, somewhat controversial and rambling press offerings that were often misinterpreted and misquoted...
Back to the OP (some of you guys have got way too much emotion vested in these drivers)....I watched this Netflix episode. It was an interesting format, more intelligent of a show than I expected (I never got Letterman’s humour ...his show always seemed geared towards drunken frat boys that find throwing pencils and toast hilarious). Liked seeing Hamilton’s dad, the lap they did in the MB wagon, and the finale was funny (I won’t give it away). I didn’t know they dont use the word “station wagon” in the UK....I guess its just a hatchback? It’s interesting how professional drivers take different lines than amateurs....they’re much less concerned with driving between the lines than most of us assume. Show did nothing to make me a hater of Hamilton though. YMMV.
Regardless, Elton needs coaching, he can’t do what he does without it..... therefore, dum dum..... the nickname fits
I nicknamed him dumdum, it’s all your buddies that cheerlead for him that are trying to tell us how clever he is, and how I shouldn’t make up a nickname for him... tell them, not me
Why does it offend you that I think elton is as thick as two short planks? Why does it matter to you? Since we are in a free society, I am entitled to my opinion, and to my own interpretation of information told us by those involved in f1. That he is thick only adds another notch to ‘things I don’t like nor respect about him’.
They must have a great impressionist that’s sits in at every race helping the FIA make up tapes of fake ‘Lewis to pits’ radio transmissions then..... I mean, every race he gives an ongoing commentary of what he perceives is wrong, the pits tell him he is wrong, he tells them they are, they tell him to concentrate (ie, stfu), and then what buttons to press, line to take, what a faster driver is doing so he can copy it etc. Are you saying this is what we have heard since 2007, over 150 races? Wow, mind blown, the world has fallen for one big scam, what next, Elton announced as the ‘Brain of Britain’ no doubt, specialist subject quantum mechanics? Hehehehe
Tirade?, no, remember, you called me classless, a personal attack. I merely corrected you instead of reporting it. We have different opinions, but there is no argument or tirade. A tirade would be an angry diatribe condemning you and your opinion, and championing my own. I only confirmed my opinion, you are the one that kept coming back niggling away, and inviting me to further clarify. Don’t engage me if you aren’t happy for me to have the opportunity to rebuke your opinion. Put me on ignore, all the Elton fans here seem to have such a hard time accepting tifosi opinions, I’m surprised you aren’t all putting us on ignore, then again, there would only be a dozen of you chatting then, and it would get boring I guess
You understand this is going in every garage, in every car, up and down the pit lane? We tend to hear Lewis transmissions quite regularly because he's often at the center of the race 'story' (you know, winning so often as he does ) The teams have data and telemetry and the larger overview of the race and so there is a constant back and forth. Every driver is told when to switch modes, and when change the brake balance or what not, when to push - it's all fairly miserable pit perch micromanagement, but it's simply product of the era. Sometimes Lewis likes maximum information relayed to him...and sometimes he tells then to cease and desist...like every driver. If we were in purer era (without deliberately engineered tire deg, and system/energy management) we'd hear much less noise and more driving...
I don't think any F1 driver can work without constant information from his pit anymore (coaching if you like). And those who are in the thick of it, like the leaders, need it more than the others probably. The fact is that the broadcasters chose what to transmit somehow distorts the picture, because we only hear what they want.
You can think what you want, go ahead, have fun. I'm with team LH, we focus on breaking records and holding up trophies.
I hope the freedom to have an opinion and say what we want also apply in the case of Schumacher for "things we don't like or respect about him". I Wonder ...
Here Here! Here's to the greatest F1 driver that's ever lived and when he retires he'll have at least 9 WDC to his name possibly under 3 teams making him the undisputed GOAT! Brilliant statement here from Hamilton https://www.planetf1.com/news/hamilton-fans-still-not-excited-about-formula-1/
It has nothing to do with being a "pr bot", it has more to do with "opening mouth before thinking" and this IS a question of intelligence! But if you think he is intelligent I would leave it to Einstein: "everything is relative" Gesendet von meinem SM-G930F mit Tapatalk
We??? What record did you break and what trophy are you holding up??? Gesendet von meinem SM-G930F mit Tapatalk
Clearly not as much as for Elton, as he is the one that is always crying down his radio every week, while others only occasionally appear. If he were around in the previous era of f1, 1980 to 2005, Elton would’ve been smashed into a wall the first time he tried one of his dumbass lunges and ended his own career with his boneheaded ********, and if he tried moaning to frank williams, or Enzo ferrari, he’d have got the sack... mix that in with being 5 foot **** all, and weighing in like a wet rag, he’d have died from exhaustion driving the car from the pits to the starting grid hehehehehehhehe
Well, we certainly know what your opinion was of the greatest ever driver in f1 history..... you were chuffed to bits about his accident, and hoped he was suffering. that’s all we need to know about you.
