your not the only one Anyway, it it raining right now in Freeport. The sunday forecast is 30% chance of rain and a tempature of 59 degrees.
Heard it was a rain or shine event now since they did not want to reschedule again and due to setting up with the winery.
Current forecast for Freeport, NY for tomorrow: http://www.weather.com/activities/other/other/weather/tenday-details.html?dayNum=1&locid=USNY0527&from=36hr_fcst_undeclared "Mostly cloudy skies early will become partly cloudy later in the day. High 59F. Winds WNW at 10 to 20 mph."
Yes it did, a great turn out too. I didnt get a ride, but it was still a load of fun. Its cool to finally some f-chatters in person. I will post pics ASAP.
It did happen and it was awesome - chatted with you father - Beautiful Ford GT! The run up Ocean Parkway and Robert Moses was great. We also terrorized the LIE on the way out and back. I gotta stop hanging with these Lambo, Viper and Vette guys though, because my car is feeling mighty slow in comparison. I was surrounded by a Ford GT and two Vipers and when we launched from around 40mph, it seemed as if I was standing still (and I was on it BIG TIME!) Out-horsepowered in a HUGE way. It was a great time and a lot of fun to meet so many new people. And for the EColony guys, sorry I never met back up with you all, but it was wonderful to see all of you again David

Clyde- You will get punished in car heaven for referring to the Ghibli as a Lambo. It was, in the estimation of some, the last great Maserati. Nice to see them, too. The rest of ya: that was a really nice event. It was a bit chilly, but the cars seemed to like it- almost everybody i met and talked to was having a good time. I liked the driving we did shortly after we left the Snake Pit, along the beaches, which were almost deserted. I don't like driving among civilians and the LIE had its share of Yahoos. The winery was a nice stop. No pics from me, but i got to ride shotgun in my own car on the way from Freeport to land's end, thanks to the considerable driving skills of Wil De Groot. It was very nice to see all those Diablos in one place. And the Ford GT just keeps on impressing me more. Glad I went.
Shoot, fixed. Thanks. Stupid. I had it wrong on my notes which I copied. I'll bet they only let me drive VWs in car heaven now. I don't have any great shots. But here's some of the better ones. Is that a Mondial cab in between the red 360 and the red I-can't-quite-make-it-out in picture 4? I spy the Scuderia badge on the fender -- Ed.?
The event looked like a lot of fun. How was the vineyard and superperformance factory? They make great affordable cars and probably a lot of fun to drive. The Ford GT's look amazing!! So what eventually ever happened to Letterman? Who actually heard he was coming? He never even attends car events in the first place. The skyline with the white carbon fiber skirts looks great. The guy who owns it works at AI Design in Tuckahoe, NY. Anyone seen it before? What was Richard S. driving?
Letterman was not there, but somebody DID spot Jimmy Page in a Diablo! Image Unavailable, Please Login
