    Tonight on the late show there was a guy named Bud (cant remember his last name). Anyways, he was talking to Dave in the crowd when he said he races vintage F1 cars, more specifically, he said he currently races a 1980 Ferrari F1 car. Just curious to see if he posts here or if anyone knows him, he seemed like a really cool guy.

    Robert "Bud" Moeller. He owns Gilles Villeneuve's 1980 312T-5 F1 car. He runs it in Historic Races. I believe he is from VA but I am not certain.

    When I saw just the title of this thread, I thought it might be about Larry "Bud" Mellman, who was a regular character on Letterman's old NBC show. :)

    I always loved the way Larry "Bud" would totally mess up interviews by holding the mike towards himself when the interviewee's talking and then while he's asking the next question. holding it to the interviewee.

    Doesn't he keep the car at Sears Point? I seem to recall an issue of Racer Magazine where he allows the writer to drive it around the track.

    Yes sir. one of the best crowds ive heard in a while, all the people dave talked to were funny. The lady right after bob was from The Woodlands(where im from), thougth that was pretty cool..

    FYI they will be racing in Watkins Glen, NY this weekend. Should be quite a show:)
