Whats next from the Hamilton press section, anything to keep his name in the news. Maybe they will have him race migrating geese across England in a F1 car.

Fresh from his Evita-esque speech at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Lewis Hamilton was back behind the wheel of his McLaren on Monday, but not on a Formula One track.

Hamilton went head-to-head with an executive jet at the Farnborough Air Show in Hampshire, and he didn't fare too badly.

While he was driving his McLaren at full tilt, the Learjet 60SR flew 200 feet above him.

"Normally when I'm on the runway the planes are landing so I was a little bit nervous," Hamilton told the BBC. "But I was sitting in my car, they told me to go and I booted it to 280 km/h.

"I was sitting there on the limiter, I couldn't see where the plane was but I heard it was very, very good."

The event marked 45 years since the first Learjet was flown.

For the record, officials say Hamilton won the challenge.

If you watch the video, I really don't see it as a race, the plane was just cruising by at minimum speed and he took off before the plane went by. So just what is he racing? Its all very strange!

Announcer: "Would you like to own one of these (planes)?"
LH: "No, I'd rather keep the deal that I have now than have to buy one"

anybody know what said deal entails? Learjets are cool. Free Learjets...even better

Why not race against a real plane, like an F-18 or a F-16 Fighting Falcon? How about a F-22 Raptor? A Lear Jet is a slow!
Schumacher at least raced a military plane...
