I have JV's album... lets say - not great!

As for Lewis... well, you could see this coming a long time ago. With Dad gone & Ron tucked away, all the money hungry people around him... and with Nicole Sherzinger... what do you expect?

He's free to do what he wants and maybe he'll be a grammy winner, but once your eye is off the ball - or race track... its hard to get it back on with out a crash....age is truly wasted on the young!

Give me a break. LH brings this on to himself by the way he behaves, and if Alonso was Australian I can tell you LH would not be loved over here either. Grow some shoulders pretty boy LH. Respect does not get given to you on a silver platter by Ron Dennis like everything else, you have to earn it like the rest of us.

    Far Out,
Webber rides bicycles as part of his training to er, guess what, be a F1 driver, and for charity. Last time I looked it required a great degree of fitness NOT the ability to hold a tune.

LH was starting to slowly gain my respect with some solid drives where he kept out of trouble and behaved like a proper racing driver. Now he is fncking around in his spare time, which is fine, but unless this is some sort of charity cause he needs to concentrate on what should be taking ALL, and yes I mean ALL, of his time and that is being the best damn racing driver he can.

IMO he should be down at the factory talking to the guys that are building the next car, he should be living and breathing that car like MS used to (and probably still does. Remember he used to cut his holidays short to go and hang at the factory) or in the gym or simulator, or working with sponsors.

So many people would give a testical to have the opportunities this talented young man has but he pisses them off by the total lack of commitment he appears to display.

We all know that driving a modern F1 racing car is only 3% of the driver and that any reasonably decent driver can do well in an excellent car (Webber is witness to this) ... LH needs to prove to us it takes more than that and stop swaning about.

One can only imagine what type of music he will produce ... and God help anybody mentioning background or race when they discuss it.
    Pete

What does the link I posted have anything to do with respect given on a silver platter? I'm just pointing out that racism against Hamilton is hardly imaginary, as some are implying on this thread.

How do you know Lewis isn't doing this? Just a few weeks back he tweeted that he was in the simulator and working on the new car. Just because he chose to sing a song as a diversion of sorts doesn't imply that he isn't hard at work as a driver.

And what does he need to prove, exactly? He's already won a WDC, and almost won another. He doesn't need to prove he's an elite driver, the results speak for themselves.

I did not say respect was given to LH on a silver platter, I said he has to earn respect from some of us. And yes I am positive that racism against LH exists, as it does with any person with coloured skin. I don't personal think the Spanish hate of LH really has anything to do with racism, more a hate of the English treatment of their hero which IMO was biased. But it is hard to yell out "How does it feel to be the favoured one in your team, you bastard"
Er, because he has the time to **** around in a studio. As I said he should be spending ALL of his time being a F1 driver. I even uppercased ALL in my previous post twice.
Yes he has proved that in the best car on the grid he can win a few races. He still has yet to prove that if the car isn't head and shoulders better than the rest of the field he can make it a winner. Vettel has, as has Alonso. Even when LH wins in a McLaren when they are having a not so good year, it's still a farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr better car than a Toro Rosso or Minardi that Vettel and Alonso impressed in.

But like I said I was impressed with a couple of races last year ... but then he goes and plays this card, so I have to start again trying to find something I respect about this guy. Of course if he publishes that any money raised by this singing venture go to a worthwhile charity I'll have found something :), and he is not just ****ing about seeing how big his own head can be expanded :D.

Alright, I've read Cevert, JV and now Sutil's name in this thread without one mention of this fellow's talents. This driver will remain the most celebrated musician in F1 for quite a while ;)...

    Apparently he wrote this piece...

Is it possible to criticize Hamilton's skill or techniques ... on the track, or (apparently, now) in the recording studio ... without those critiques being founded in, or connected to, racism?

If so ... what might such a criticism look like? And how would one go about PROVING that such critiques are NOT racist? Indeed ... where does the burden of proof lie?

C´mon, guys, nobody here knows if he´s been neglecting his homework for doing this record or not. They´re human beings, not robots. They all have some spare time. Even Schumacher had some time to waste being drunk.

If he spent his spare time in a night club at Monaco, nobody would complain: "that´s what Grand Prix drivers do", you would say. Probably this stuff of the music record is more appropiate for an elite sports man than the rave sessions Alonso has been attending lately or Button´s fashion shows. I think that it´s great to see a F1 driver who can use his brain for something else apart from driving or wasting money.

Who gives a damn what Hamilton does with some of his free time. You'd think some on here expect him to eat and sleep in the factory. It's not like he cancelled test sessions to go on tour...
