Friendly suggestion, but when you guys ban people for posting ''P&R'', can you not making it a section ban rather than full forum?

I'm saying that because, particularly now, we have Lewis practically taunting everyone constantly, using F1 as his platform. This being the F1 section, and literally everyone in F1 talking about it, it's kind of hard to avoid it sometimes, especially from someone that doesn't shut the **** up about it.

It's like dangling chocolate in front of a fat kid, just off the edge of a cliff. He's going to reach out and try to get it. Instead of letting him fall to death...hang a little net under it? I think you'll find that 99.9% don't talk P&R outside the F1 section, so I can't see it causing much worry that person X will spout of P&R all over the forum, rather accidentally here a few days.

Section bans not full forum is fair, I reckon.

Temporary full forum bans are the standard response to P&R out of bounds anywhere on the forum. We're not going to mollycoddle F1 regulars simply because they have no ability to control themselves.

    Learn some self discipline.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Frankly i would rather discuss sports than constantly coming back to Mercedes , Hamilton and his nonexistent teammate.
But most people are tired of this ultra domination
And do not want to join the scenario that is being sold to us.
    Double punishment is too much.

Btw why dislike for Hamilton has to always be questioned and defended here but hate for Vettel, Schumacher, Alonso etc. is almost encouraged? Because he’s British and the media is always behind him? Makes me hate him even more

I have no doubt that Britney Spears makes far more than almost anyone here during most years, and has a vastly higher net worth. But her kid sister has conservatorship of the near 40 year old! Income doesn't necessarily relate directly to intelligence or wisdom.

Hi Mitch, a very good point. I forgot we only let subscribers I'm the P&R forum. So I understand the conundrum. You want to discuss F1 and Politics, but of course not have to pay for it. A fair position.

This said, the desire also illuminates the foundation of the site, which is a private enterprise where the owner does have the perogative on what kind of content is posted.

There is simple solution, you can always start a group conversation with any members and take the conversation to the side.

You can express your views with no censorship, it's free, and we keep the conversation in F1 strictly to F1.

    Best wishes.

I don’t understand why Hamilton always introduces extra-athletic events into what should only be sports? it is cruelly lacking in competition in fact. it seems idle at times.

C'mon guys, did you really need 14 pages to know that Hamilton is idiot? The case was closed long time ago.

It's not just Hamilton, but non-sports related topics often enter the fray in entertainment. Look at the NFL, NBA, or Hollywood. A response whether negative or positive is exactly the goal. In a way the more outsized the reaction, the more you've given them exactly what they want.

The age-old cliche rings true today as ever:

No such thing as 'bad press' in show business.

All the more reason why folks that dislike the behavior are best served by not perpetuating (even in the form of a complaint) the topic which a "star" would like highlighted.

    Sure.

But it's the challenge and adversity that is conquered for which people remember the true greats.
    Lauda is one supreme example.

Lewis continues with his low hanging fruit.

    That's his choice.

Here's the thing, if Vettel or Leclrec gave 7 championships to Ferrari, I couldn't care less if they walk around naked or in a gorilla suit....

    I respectfully disagree.
A legendary pilot is destined to become a myth.
By dressing like a clown, he destroys part of this mythology.
Once again the background is inseparable from the form.

I don't disagree, I am speaking only for myself. I personally am not a fashion enthusiast, so whatever Vettel or Leclrec choose to wear in their personal time is of no consequence to me. (Although I would be a liar if I didn't say I did enjoy very much Leclrec in his banana suit)

I fully acknowledge there are those that are deeply offended or triggered by a person's choice of shirt or pants. Just stating I am not one of them.

Schumacher dressed like a clown too. But Hamilton does it like a pro and is proud of it.

Still not at the same level of Eddie Jordan though.
