I really wish someone would take a Lexus badge and shove it up his azz pushing everything else thats in there further up.

The MF needs to learn how to say process not PRO cess, these commercials must appeal to really shallow insecure types that need to feel superior about their jap POS Toyotas.

Runner up is the anal retentative sounding wench on the BMW commercials.

    Are you ok?

    Chill................

Lexus has a good brand and the new LS is going to be a contender, IMO.

Why do you think people buy Lexuses (Lexii?)? It's because they feel superior in them. Look at the types of people who drive cars other than GS and IS models. They're snobs!

Maybe because they never break, and when they look at Benz's, and Caddy owners they laugh themselves silly because they are smarter.

A Toyota is even more reliable, but you don't see them driving Toyotas. Lexus is positioned as a luxury brand, so it has to maintain that image in all of its ads, brochures, etc. And from what I see, it does a damn good job.

Maybe that's because they don't offer the identical car under different names. Believe me, if I could save a few bucks by getting the Toyota name instead I would do it. They don't offer the same options on the Toyotas that they do on the Lexus. Case in point, the Lexus LX470 has a variable suspension that in the rest of the world you can get in a Toyota Land Cruiser, but in this country it ONLY comes in the LX. I wanted the suspension, so that leaves me little choice, so I have both LC and LX.

Do I feel superior? Hardly. Ever driven an LS? It does everything I want a luxury car to do and it does it without the attention or problems of the S-Class. I owned and drove the competition(BMW, MB, Jaguar) and out of those I still go back for the LS every time. You're more than welcome to the new S-class or BMW 7-series. After experiencing first hand the declining build quality in each I won't be back for some time. I WOULD consider a Jaguar again as their interiors do set them apart from the competition. Besides, with the 12cyl LS on the horizon it wipes out any potential threat of my taking my business elsewhere. One of the things I like about Lexus is that on the street NOBODY pays them any attention. A Lexus of any kind is almost invisible and not being noticed is a good thing MOST of the time.

That just proves that a Lexus is a Toyota with a different badge and different options, because if Toyota offered the same options, no one would buy a Lexus.

I also think the interior cannot be compared to an Audi, Benz, or BMW. I was going to trade my Audi in for a GS, but the interior looked so cheap. The LS is a flagship model, but the interior still is not up to par, IMO. Too much plastic, too generic-looking. They ride great, though.

I looked at an IS300 when I was shopping for a new car and I actually liked my Mustang GT a LOT more. Then again, those aren't the nicest car Lexus offers. :)

Oh, and be glad you don't live here. The Lexus of Orlando commercials are by far the most annoying ones on tv these days!

I agree 100%. Of course, I also like Dino's even though Ferrari felt they had to affix a Ferrari badge to sell them. :)

I guess what I'm saying is that I buy Lexus vehicles BECAUSE they are a Toyota product.

Interior on the LS is fine for me. Everything short of a Phantom or Maybach seems pretty poorly constructed after having gotten used to the interior on an early 90's 600 S-class. I also think Audi is making better interiors than BMW or MB right now.
